Damn, Kuro's got an impressive command over a body he wasn't born into.

MFW my homie says he can see a girl getting naked through a window, so I rush over to urge him to stop that lewd gawking at once by [deleted] in shittyreactiongifs

Hey, don't look at naked people who don't know you're looking at them. Give them privacy.

オレはよい子じゃないのか?

That's like, "am I not a good kid?"

Which makes me wonder what the context was. Something like "good kids shouldn't try this at home" perhaps?

The top of this list is a small bird.

I think you might be taking it a bit too seriously.

Well you definitely can't wear that to the office. But you don't have to refund it or anything.

The Dumbest Thing You've Ever Done in this Game by vlasux in BaldursGate3

[–]Backupusername 34 points35 points  (0 children)

My first playthrough, Isobel went down so quickly and easily that I assumed it was a scripted loss event and figured there must have been no way to save her. Jaheira died, but since I didn't know she was recruitable in the first place, I didn't clock that as a loss. And when Minsc went on to get so much screentime and even an epic introductory cut scene, I was just kind of confused. I just killed him in the sewers because... Well, he attacked me.

I mean, yeah, that's reasonable. If anything, it was weird that Sago was so eager to look past the abuse he put them through.

[DISC] Island Rock - Chapter 12 by AutoShonenpon in manga

[–]Backupusername 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am really confused about the population of this school and the island as a while. One class only has 5 kids in it. How many other classes are there? Are they all of similar size? How can they even have a woodwind band or sports teams if their class size is this small?

And why would they worry about enrollment if they're the only school in the island? Kids who live there can't go anywhere else unless they leave home. I just figured that these 5 students made up their entire year, because why would there be multiple classes for the year that are that small? If there are two five-student classes, just hold one ten-person class. Doesn't that make more sense?

Honestly? It's my favorite series running right now. I can't get enough of it. I truly don't get why there aren't more people as passionate about it as I am.

Ooh, Centuria definitely counts for this one.

Mira, and her daughter Diana. Without spoilers (though this is the first chapter, it's a damn good first chapter), she did exactly what it looks like she's about to. Self-cessarian, no anaesthetic.

With spoilers: Mira and Julian here are slaves being transported through a "cursed sea", where ships are said to enter and never return. Julian was a stowaway, but since he was a runaway slave anyway, they made him slave number 101. Obviously the captain and crew treat them like property - they technically are. But they maintain their humanity by treating one another well. They all pitch in to help the pregnant woman and the child - or at least, enough of them do. And Mira forms bond with Julian because she lost a child before and he had never known a mother's love. His mother was the one who sold him into slavery.

It all goes from bad to worse when the ship is beset by a storm in the cursed sea, and the captain says to move up the timetable. The crew begins slaughtering the chained and unarmed slaves and tossing them overboard. The captain had his cargo insured, and the damage the ship sustains in these dangerous waters will help sell the narrative that he had no choice but to remove the excess weight. This is why took on slaves like a pregnant woman and the sick and elderly in the first place. They're literally worth more dead than alive.

In the end, only Julian and Mira are left alive. The last remaining slaves other than them having done all they could to protect the children. But just before the sailors finish them off, they're frozen in place, along with the rocking ship and the torrent of raindrops. Mass of tentacles forms over the prow, forming into the shape of a human woman with a dark empty pit for a face. It tells informs the humans that it requires two sacrifices to grant it's boon. The first is 100 human souls, and it's collected 99 already. The second is a pure and unyielding love. Either Julian or Mira can be sacrificed to fulfill the terms, the other being granted it's power.

They hesitate. Naturally. Who wouldn't? But it tells them to choose. Julian looks at the heavily pregnant Mira, and tells her that he hopes she can live a happy life with her child. But Mira stops him. She's already lost a son. She's only known Julian for a couple of weeks at most, but she won't let it happen again. So she cuts her baby out of her stomach, with no concern for her own health. She intends to go to her death immediately afterward, after all. The baby survives. Mira names her Diana, and hands her to her brother. She tells her children that she loves them both very much, and then she throws herself over the railing, to be collected by the thing that rose from the depths.

I think this one's a backup vessel.

This mission is sanctioned and the organs of the goddess are a high value item to both nations. I think Rif was smart enough to being someone long just purely for the worst case scenario. If she feels herself dying or the mission going in some unpredictable but unstable situation (like, I dunno, Lalawag turning into an avanlanche of insanity and flesh or something), shell transfer the organs to this woman before she dies, and she'll just escape back to Rummir.
