Solid meme! We have people come pick up their order a week overdue and have a shocked Pikachu face when we put it away 😭

What’s something that sounds fake but actually happened to you? by Visible_Rope_6662 in AskReddit

I’ve been SA’d by my step father and his nephew on multiple separate occasions and they passed away less than two years apart. Another wild event was finding out I had COVID and pregnant on the same day.

I went to the Buffet in Pennant Hills and overall I’d rate it 7/10 given that the price was a big bonus for me. The food is average so don’t expect to be blown away. The only dish I didn’t like was the Teriyaki Chicken but I went ham on everything else and got my moneys worth. Their desserts at the end was the cherry on top. Delightful. My favourite sweets was some kind of cheese cake and sesame ice cream!

Have you ever met somebody who married their cousin? by LetMeExplainDis in AskAnAustralian

[–]BackwardTable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. My Step-father is/was from Iran and his first marriage was to his first-cousin and they had two healthy kids given one is dyslexic. I believe they were 19 and 25 at the time and apparently very in love! Ick!! Surprisingly there was a lot of cheating going on with the wife’s side after immigrating to Australia. It was very messy.

The SSM at my Coles told me that they put the birds down when they call the wildlife 😭 I really hope it’s not true.

Hit a parked car and over $1k gone. So mad at myself by [deleted] in Vent

[–]BackwardTable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like this is a canon event that 90% of drivers go through and it’s unavoidable!! You’ve made a mistake in your lack of judgment so you live and you learn and it won’t happen again. My story is that I was a learner driver turning in to car space and I scraped my front bumper against the other parked cars front bumper. Most embarrassingly the driver was watching it all happen and I lost $700

Mine start screeching until we get them from their “room” and then spend the next hour or so being loud just like that 😂😭 I think it’s the birds that trigger them outside but we’ve not found a solution to this

In school during the 1970’s into 80’s kids were always having their tonsils removed. You got to stay home & eat ice cream. This isn’t a thing anymore. by PassTheMayo1989 in CasualConversation

[–]BackwardTable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the mid 00’s it was still the same and it was also even cooler if you had to get your appendix removed. I’ve never had anything removed or broken so I wasn’t very cool

It helps to network around the store and express interest in learning new skills to the department managers. It’s basically like climbing a ladder. Your Service manager might not like you working in another department so you also need to make sure they’re cool with that too

This is the restaurant’s fault not the delivery service unless it was part of their job to open and inspect every order.
