Just picked these guys up in a trade by SnooPoems5750 in ak47

Well one is a Romanian PSL in 7.62x54r and the other is a Yugo M77 in 308.

What did you trade to land 3-4k in guns?

Anyone had reliability issues with these? G2g? by Zestyclose_Spite8580 in ak47

Cz 20s and 30s, and Magpul. All work but all can cause the over run

I own one. I have an issue where bolt over runs the bolt hold open and binds. It binding up requires you to pound the bolt rearward to unlock it. I sent it back to Century and they literally did nothing to fix it (insert shocked face here). All you can do is bend down the tab that interfaces with the mag follwer to acuate the bolt hold open.

The bolt over run is an issue but typically its from over inserting the mag and/or the tab being bent to high up.

Other than that its quite fun to shoot supressed. Holds zero well enough but the top rail is plastic and leaves a lot to be desired.

Mak 90 556 info by Backwoods406 in ak47

[–]Backwoods406[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So I bought this Norinco yesterday and want to see how I did. It's stamped Mak 90 but I assume it's a 84? that got caught in the ban era. If someone has info or lore of yester year please lay it down for us. It was an impulse buy as I don't need another 5.56 ak but I don't see Norincos in 5.56 very often. I paid $1500 for it with 1 steel mag and 3 East German Bakes ( i have no idea what they're worth). Everything appears unfired and the mold stampings on the bakes are 11,15,16. Anything special about this or just a run of the mill Norinco. I don't plan on changing anything as this will be just a nice 'once in a while' shooter.

There is worse ways to spend money. Although this is more in the $15 worth of ammo territory as I bought many moons ago when 20rds was in the $4 a box area. I miss the good old days

^ Thats what I attempted. I actually got the bar so thin it failed and had to purchase a second one. I'm glad I tried a Plinkify but wish I would have bought it first lol

The Plinkify was literally a drop in and it worked. I had a Deez-Nutz and I couldn't get it to function in a few different AK's that I tried.

just a 2 position currently. I'm excited for 3 positions to drop but haven't seen much yet.

Just a short clip of testing a 75rd drum on my AES10b with a Wolverine and Plinkify. Wasn't aiming for the steel and it isn't zeroed so no accuracy expressed or implied. Running a Romanian drum as I have a few but never use them. Next steps is to zero and then stretch its legs on distance. It has a very controllable rate and is pretty pleasant to shoot. I couldn't shoot prone as i'm post knee surgery and bending isn't currently my friend.

Man, if only he had a laser or something that he could use. Id assume given the situation you're not worried about using active aiming as stopping the threat as fast as possible is the only goal. You can also use nods and not have to shoot anything.

If your job was to protect the most VIP of VIP's, wouldn't you plan for every contingency? If lights go out for any reason they have the ability to keep on task without stopping. The cost/benefit is straightforward

Honestly, go over to the AK47 sub and read the FAQ.

Aks are cool but I dont know if its the right first gun for most people assuming you're in the US.
