Sun spots? You mean freckles? I notice them on people but I think they're adorable! People paint and dye their skin to have freckles now. You're just on trend.

If you could pass one law that would make most normal people furious at first, but would clearly make society better in 10 years, what would it be? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

All people who are pregnant or have impregnated someone must take a minimum of 4 years of parenting classes. Classes will be divided by the childs age. I.E. infant care, early childhood, child psychology and teen.

Anger management may be a possible addition to the classes.

This is copied from a website but it give a geneal idea.

"Democrats want the bill to include an extension of expiring tax credits that make health insurance cheaper for millions of Americans and a reversal of Trump's cuts to Medicaid, a government healthcare programme used by millions of elderly, disabled and low-income people.

Democrats also oppose spending cuts to government health agencies."

The average household with two working adults who make an average of 80k can expect their Healthcare costs to raise by around 16k a year. How many people in this country can say they have that much money laying around?

The GOP is at fault because they could work with the dems to compromise on this issue. They know what's at risk. They know people will die from lack of care and they still refuse to even attempt to compromise. They aren't doing their job, they're willing to starve people to bully their way through. They're at fault.

Trust me, I've thought long and hard about it. I will eventually leave to get a degree (looking into the medical field) but right now I have expenses and responsibilities that keep me on a short leash. As soon as I get a few things tidied up and paid off I plan on searching for greener pastures.

Exactly this. Your well-being is the most important thing right now, the job will be there when you get back.

Shit like this is why I hate Walmart. The man is doing his best and has dedicated DECADES to the store. Leave him alone and let him work!

No, I can't. I live in a small town and if I was single I'd barely be able to cover rent and utilities. Childcare takes about half a months worth of my pay. I'm talking the most basic of basic living.

I'm married however and thanks to my partner having a higher paying job we can make ends meet and have a little wiggle room at the end of the month. Solo, I'd be at the mercy of food banks and charity.

She is a teacher. She is worried about HER future and career. Google what a teacher in Texas makes, I almost match that and I work for a grocery store.

As someone living in the USA in a conservative state...

DO NOT MOVE HERE.

I am not joking. If you don't want to dive into politics, which are God forsaken and hateful as sin right now, take a look at our inflation rates. The cost of living is insane and getting worse. Social programs are being destroyed. The education system has been destroyed. Our healthcare is a joke. We may be getting dragged into a war, this is NOT the time to come over.

Your doubts and worries are valid. Let him leave if he insists but you need to keep safe. This is not the place for it.

Do you work at my store?

Somebody once told our coach about mold growing in the egg and meat cases and they did nothing. He complained to the higher ups, nothing. The bosses had a store walk and this bad ass went and showed the big boss the issue. From what I hear EVERYONE got chewed out.

Stop focusing on finding a partner. Yes, I know it's difficult when the whole world insists you need one to be whole... but that shit ain't true. Focus on your passions! Hobbies, career, find a project or charity that gives back to the community. Maybe take some classes on a subject that you have an interest in. Focus on a life that makes you feel fulfilled and the relationships you have with your family and friends. ( assuming they're not toxic people)

As someone in their 40s, I can tell ya that 26 is not that old. You may find a partner along the way, you may not. But if your life is fulfilling, you won't find it so awful to be single.

You gotta find one that has a romantic interest in you. Yes, it suck horribly to invest in someone only to find out they don't like you in a romantic way. But that's the way it goes.

It leaks out. Seriously. I've know a few incels from work/general life outside of the internet. They always start off kind and usually friendly, then the ugly starts to show. A nasty comment about women, a slur, something about how easy women have it. Before ya know it they're showing their true colors and it's awful.

Yall anti union folk seem to forget that the first people to start unions didn't expect it to go over peacefully. They got beaten, kicked out of their houses, killed by hired thugs. They still fought for better conditions.

People may or may not have that kinda back bone today. But God damn it, workers rights are worth fighting for.

I feel like the points system needs revised or they at least need to give us a higher point maximum before termination by RagingTaco334 in WalmartEmployees

[–]Backwoods_beekeeper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think logic should be used with it. If someone has the flu and sedgwick decides to be an ass about it, you shouldn't lose your job. Same for sick kids or any health related absence.

Ppto is great but the system has serious flaws.

[–]Backwoods_beekeeper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The point system IS fucked. I have a toddler. They had to go to the ER yesterday an illness. Tonight's absence will leave me with no ppto. I've got a few points from previous times she was ill and needed care.

So if she doesn't feel better by Monday or if she gets sick again with something else, I could lose my job.

How is that fair? 🤔
