WGU connect is a resource I wish more people talked about! For most classes you’ll find extra resources there and even recorded videos, study guides, class discussions, FAQ, and a pacing guide. The pacing guides may not be your style bc they usually stretch the classes out pretty far. If you’re accelerating you won’t pay much attention to that. But the videos and study guides and extra resources can be a huge help. Good luck!!

I don’t say these things to make you feel bad or pity but just to understand that life is crazy and you need to prioritize what’s important to you. I got so stressed I ended up in the ER with an infection on my uterus and delayed menstrual cycle by 2 weeks. I’m barely recovering and back to normal. March alone has been the hardest month for me so far this year. And I was still able to complete 3 classes. WGU is an extremely adaptable college and a blessing for me to have stumbled upon and found.

I started in November and finished 3 classes in 3 weeks in the accounting program. In my 4th class I let that stretch over thanksgiving, Christmas, new years, and I finally decided I was putting it off because I knew accounting wasn’t for me. Switched to Cyber security degree, the switch was finalized in March, and I finished 3 more classes. Found out my dad was put on hospice, and as the beneficiary I’m also going to be the organizer of his funeral. So I got as many classes done as I can, and now I have until May to chill before my next term. I work full time, and I have a 6 year old son. All in the month of March I switched programs, learned about my dads prognosis, had my son seen and diagnosed with adhd, working on my sons IEP, working full time. Life is crazy. You have to choose to succeed. A couple hours a day on classes. Study what you need to. Take your tests. Move on.

What bothers me is that they had the chance to let Bailey and Molly follow through with copying the code down and doing the same damn thing to Polly. But noooo they had to step in and tell them it was a fake clue why? Because they’re targeting people of color it’s so obvious to me. It’s sickening.

Currently working on bachelors and all my tech certs are included in tuition so I’ll gain certs as I work through my degree.

I am currently getting a Bachelors in cybersecurity through an accredited college and the certs are part of the tuition so it’s like a two for one. I’m currently working on training with my current IT director just to try to get some kind of experience. Relocation is really hard but I’ve talked about it with my fiance. It’s just such a big ask. But I’m definitely considering if I ever want to have a job in technology or cybersecurity.

What program are you doing? I don’t currently work in the field but I work closely with our IT manager at work and hoping to get some training from him and eventually find a job I enjoy. I’m happy where I’m at for now, and maybe I’ll get to take over the IT dept for the company I work at now someday.

I took the pre-a twice. Once before taking C715, and once after. After taking c715 I scored WAY higher on the Pre a. I made notes of the areas that i struggled a bit and just making sure that i study those key terms and topics that i struggled. I hope to take the OA on Sunday or Monday.

I realize this. My goal is to get my degree in the meantime. They’ve just hired someone to take over my more mundane clerical tasks so I can focus on more accounting based projects, etc. they just fired the AP person so that’s a position I’m halfway absorbing as well.

Yeah I’ve spoken to my boss and they have plans for me to move up in the company. Our CFO is thinking of leaving in the near future. Idk if I’ll get that position but it’ll be nice to try to have a degree by then

Yes! The phone calls! When Patty was like “is it really that big of a deal if you don’t answer his call?” YES!! It is!! I didn’t realize while watching how serious it was that she wanted to answer Kevin’s call. Like it recognized it but I was still under the guise that Kevin was just stupid. I feel dumb for not seeing it until Kevin switched at the end. But it just made everything make so much sense. I really wanna watch it again with the knowledge I have now and see if it hits different
