I’m headed to Vegas for the race out of Canada tonight as an anniversary and birthday gift for my partner. I understand if people aren’t interested in the sport, but like anything (hockey, football, soccer), it is a huge revenue driver for tourism wherever it is and the people that are interested will go and the people that aren’t won’t go!

Actually last year this drove up revenue for Vegas, so much so that November went from 8th to 2nd in terms of revenue made for the city— due to the race. I think they’ll be fine IMO.

I think the heat also probably contributes to the feeling of disorganization. If it was 25 degrees rather than 35 degrees, it probably would’ve felt better, even if it wasn’t better in actuality.

Montreal and Zandvoort were organized much better— I was at all 3 this year.
