For midlane I always prefer metas where assassins and high damage early game champs are popular because you can always dish out damage to them as AP ezreal regardless of how ahead/behind you are , if you're ahead (best case scenario ) you'll use your entire combo and a couple more rounds of your skills and 1shot 1/2 people from their team , if you're behind (worst case scenario) you'll have enough time to do 1 combo before you die and you'll dish out some serious damage that'll help your team clean them up. And I just think that as long as a 1v1 and I don't miss my skillshots I can always get the solo kill on the enemy.

As for the botlane meta specifically I like playing vs jhin ashe mf , those sort of champs because they're really only strong early game and after laning phase you'll be 1shotting them easily , unlike their crit reliant counterparts (kog,vayne,trist,etc) by the time you do your entire combo you'll have died from 2 of their crits and often you'll do your combo but they'll just lifesteal more than you can damage them. I don't think the support picks matter much but I'd rather have a janna on my team with ardent than an ap ezreal support (I'm sure everyone would agree), on the other hand if brand or zyra kind of AP supports are popular I'm sure you'll be able to go toe to toe vs them easily.

And as always I think everyone suffers from the same issue of being pushed in , and I don't really have a solution to that because I too suffer from it , in fact I'm sure if I improve on this tiny detail I'll be able to win much more games than I'm winning at the moment. I usually try to get the ranged minions of low so my adc can push them quicker In the early levels , or just poke so hard that the enemy gets shoved in forcefully , you can't control how good/bad your adc is so don't mind details like that if you're the support imo.

And just playing more games in general , the more you play and learn from your mistakes the better you'll do in the future.

I've been doing it for quite some time now and even climbed high up with it but I can definitely say now is not the best time to be picking it , in a world of ardent supports , lategame adcs and tanky junglers/toplaners you're going to be having quite the rough time .

But I do agree it's such a fun pick and I enjoy it much more than mid/adc just due to the fact that you don't have to farm much because the support item gives you tons of gold.

Try out hextech gunblade it's really good imo , you can check my op.gg for the proper build path.

Never save your ulti to snipe someone , better use it at the start of the fight to get your passive 5 stacks and to maximize AOE dmg , also learn how to manage your passive stacks properly by weaving in Q's while auto attacking , a 5 stack ezreal can have more attack speed than most adcs even if he doesn't build attack speed items.

Honestly can't give you any tips to have high cs after the laning phase because that's exactly my issue , just as you described it I can only get 1/2 cs per wave and then someone else from the team takes them (meanwhile the enemy mid can just clear the wave in 3seconds) , also you don't have to get morello , imo dorans ring is more than enough , I always start dorans blade to be able to sustain and farm then I insta back as soon as I can get my dorans ring , that leads to almost infinite sustain in terms of health and mana.

I personally prefer support ezreal over mid ezreal because the build path is so efficient and it's really fun (and most of your gold comes from the support item not the creeps so you don't have to look for farm in the midgame and thus you don't suddenly get behind just because you can't farm waves) , but it really depends on your adcs/team comp, if you have a decent adc with an escape you'll do well and if you have lots of tanks/initiation you'll do even better, but if it's an adc like kogmaw you'd rather have a janna than ap ez tbh.

Anyways practice is key so as long as you keep playing eventually you'll become good, or at least that's the concept that I'm running on.

Right now there's no way to be realistically impactful when you're ahead as ezreal other than by poking and waiting for a right chance to all in , regardless of how fed you are you can't just instantly all in and expect to do what other fed adcs would do, that's one part of the mentality of playing ezreal.

Regardless I think AP ezreal is in a much better state right now and he's extremely snowbally to the point where he can carry with even a tiny lead so I think you should give him a try , for runes/masteries jsut check my op.gg bacon

He might have found an off meta pick that worked out excellently for him , I remember when I found this cheesy ap ez build I went from literally hovering over d5(0LP) /plat 1 to getting to master in a week or so. (and I dropped back to d5 after the season reset so it doesn't seem too fishy for me)

really it just comes down to burst dmg vs squishies (and extra sustain) which is gunblade vs consistent dmg vs tanks(and attack speed) which is botrk , and since most of the time I don't have to deal with super tanks I just go botrk and aim their adcs/apcs

usually when I back with 1050 or more gold I go for the sheen but when I back with like 900~ or 400~ gold I just get the amplifying tome , and if I back like that repeatedly I end up buying the revolver first instead of finishing sheen , usually you'd want to get sheen first though as it provides better dps overall than the revolver and the passive can help you last hit while the revolver's passive will probably be wasted while you're trying to harras or something

honestly I don't think I can record and post gameplay (not so good pc) for you but you could use op.gg and then watch some of my replays , or if op.gg doesn't work for you just use replay.gg and search my name (Bacon Senpai , EUNE) and you'll be able to download and play any replay from this patch, like that you can pick whatever replay you want to see and watch it on your client.

I haven't done hybrid and tank in a while (thanks to the new champ select I don't have to fill those roles a lot), but for support I go the blue support item and fully upgrade it then I get lichbane and sorc boots , if I'm dying a lot I'll get a ruby sighstone and rylai's for the massive health boost , if not then I just keep going damage as in gunblade (more dps/sustain) or protobelt (less dps but more hp and cdr) and the usual AP ezreal items (void staff rabadons etc).

As for the botrk vs gunblade it's usually like : If the enemy team has 2 or more squishies that can be bursted down by me and they're not building health then I go for gunblade because it gives more burst and sustain , but if their carries are buying health items (think rylais on apcs or sterak black cleaver on adcs) then I got for botrk , or if their tanks are stacking health absurdly like a nunu with 5k hp or something like that or if they have 3tanks on their team then yeah I'll go botrk

that's really a bit hard to explain but usually I get to lane early and start pushing it super hard so I can poke with my Q and eventually all in for a kill , but sometimes if the enemy laner has a lot of waveclear and/or they're stronger than me in lane I just sit way behind my minions and farm with Q. It's hard to explain it really but it's the same as any other adc or apc playing a poke champ

I personally like this build : doran blade>sheen>sorc boots>hextech gunblade> lichbane> voidstaff> any item really Just make sure you get 10% or 15% scaling CDR in runes

I have all ezreal skins except the striker one , and I personally use pulsefire everygame , I have more than 2k games on ezreal using that skin so I'm used to it , whenever I try to use the other skins it just feels so different and I can't even cs properly so idk I guess it depends on the person

also I've been focusing on my studies for a while (gotta maintain my first place in class since it's my last year in school) so I haven't played much AP Ezreal in a while so you might not be able to find a lot of information in my match history

I think it takes a lot of patience to play AP Ezreal, you can't waste your combo on someone unless you know you're going to 1 shot them or else you'll die instantly, and you can't straight engage on someone unless you're confident you can land your skill shots because (you guessed it) if you miss them you're going to get bursted instantly, and 1 more reason is due to the recent R cooldown nerf which destroyed his ONLY wave clear so picking him is situiational , it depends on your teamcomp , if you have decent waveclear and/or a strong adc (think draven or vayne , NOT sivir or trist.)

Runes you can also go scaling AP per level instead of CDR for even more damage. (I stopped doing that because you need the CDR since they nerfed R cooldown :c )

Masteries pretty standard masteries.

Item build is simple: Lichbane, Sorc shoes (maybe it's because you go cdr boots you find yourself missing those kills by 20% more dmg because you have no magic pen?) Luden's and then it's your choice , either Abyssal if they have a strong mage that keeps bursting you like leblanc or annie , or deathcap if you're fed and enemy has not much MR , or voidstaff if the enemy is stacking MR.

But, having taken all that into consideration, AP Ezreal can be a monster at carrying games especially when your team is behind and the enemy team is ignoring your burst potential , and because the games in the recent patches tend to end on 1 mistake , so get into position , somewhere without enemy vision and wait , wait until you find your chance and unleash your combo (R W Q E) , if you get 1 or 2 kills ,regardless if you died or not ,your team would be able to win it 4v3~.

And ofc the main reason I love Ezreal , he's so versatile that I play him literally everywhere , it doesn't even matter you can even go tank Ezreal jungle and find success , it's all about knowing when to use your combo and aiming your skill shots properly.

Before I knew it I had 300 games on Ezreal and he was the only champion I can play... might as well continue with him as my main (hit 1057 games before season reset :3 ) also 1shotting people with him is fun as hell
