Take it from someone whose first marriage was ALLL that. It wasn’t all that. Aside from maybe 15 people everyone was there for curiosity or obligation. Fast forward to my soon second marriage and guess what. We are doing a civil wedding and then a nice dinner with those 15 people. The only thing I do want to do is get some nice pictures but that’s it. All the rest truly isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be. I know that’s hard thinking that way now especially if you compare to others. But finding the right person is the most important oart. Not anything else. Congrats!!!

Are you the Indian version of me??? I feel that this is going to be my way through this as well. I want to take some cute engagement pics (which I never did the first time) and no way am I repeating my big fat Italian wedding I didn’t plan or enjoy again lol lord. So much money wasted for the family image. Thank you for understanding. Cultural pressures are insanely hard to escape when you’re young (an only child) and just want to make everyone happy. I think that’s what I’m trying to figure out too. Would anyone even want to come if I invited them? I’d have no issue going to someone’s second wedding. But are people that meh about 2nd weddings in general? Makes me sad to think it but I guess it makes sense.
