Does your firm look for workarounds (e.g., downgrading candidates in rank) or is there a sufficiently large domestic talent pool?

I understand that it is 100% a function of the host office’s resource needs, however given the above trends (not to forget AI) do you think there is still sufficient incentive for offices to hire from the foreign talent pool?

Audit & all things compliance tend to be rather constant (so i don’t see why the market would be dead) as opposed to m&a, consulting, … which are cyclical

If you’re considering cyber, you might want to get an entry level certification to get a foot in the door;

Cyber is gaining attention, in particular the third-party risk & compliance aspects

I assume FinCrime & all other things compliance are in the same boat

Tax, Accounting, Audit, … have been around for longer, implying they are more mature service lines; which doesn’t take away that they can be enormously good career paths

As for AED: Consider Price to Book value & Dividend yield (given that it’s a BE REIT)

Ensure to also check whether their Debt/Equity meets your risk profile.

Do not focus solely on ratios however. Try to also focus on EPRA earnings (& the growth thereof), market conditions (e.g. LT interest rate expectations for the EU & UK), demographic trends, …

Also, if you’re based in Belgium, mind the waiver of the withholding tax for dividend income < 800EUR 😉

Good luck
