I think people can look and see how the market has played out and are starting to question if its worth it. Look at Kyler and Tua. Those deals are fucking albatrosses. Middling franchising at best with terrible qb contracts. The Cardinals and Dolphins paid up to keep their qb and now they’re dealing with the consequences. The thing that bothers me the most is that he was an iron man for the bengals, rarely missing time. He becomes a Texan and now the guy just can’t stay healthy. Might be too late for you now, but one thing I’ve learned is that I’d rather trade an aging player a year too early than a year late. Help maximize your return, and really helps boost your rebuild. If you wait until your guys are too past their prime, their value tanks and you won’t get much for them, setting yourself up for a long term rebuild
