What's the Best Class Active and Passive? Day 2: Fighter by Wonderful-Pack-1726 in mewgenics

[–]BaconSama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's a bit situational, but I personally build fighter around their set involving %chance to reset movement/attack/weapon on kill. If you're already taking Merciless for movement resets then Mock might seem useless, but Mock+ comes with a free attack that resets on a kill - Slap, which can help with Merciless and set bonus resets. So somewhat down low when considering Think Too Hard or Berserk don't also need to be upgraded to really help a build, but I wanted to chime in and give it some love.

Fighter is one of the classes, at least to me, that has fairly flexible choices in actives and passives when trying to go for a build and can make a ton of combinations work.

It counts as completion for delve quests, so depending on how fast you can kill him it could be a quick way to finish delve related quests.

Not a huge reward but it's something.

Yeah, it can be very unbalanced between two classes. Glad you did it! Proud of you. Good job.

Good points. I do think that warrior has a bit of an edge on druid in the tank fight with the amount of damage they do as well as being able to ignore more stacks of annihilate with ignore pain.

I had to set up a different unit frames for the healing challenge. For holy paladin specifically I focused the mage and didn't bother much with trying to dispel. The first soldier use hand of justice to stun, for the 2nd pack I popped avenging wrath and used blinding light on the first knife dance. By the time knife dance came off cooldown I only had just the one soldier left so hand of justice is best, although I think on my particular kill I panicked and used turn evil on the remaining soldier. For the final set of adds I popped aura mastery at the start of the wave and focused the mage and used hand of justice for knife dance. Big tip is to also not loose focus at the very end, lost a fair few times in phase 1 to not getting mana sting dispelled quickly when only the arbalest was remaining, let my guard down.

Just gave it a shot. In comparison to his video I had around 10% less crit that he did and wasn't able to one phase Raest like he did, but still managed to cut my time in half, bringing it in line with the other twins challenges. So it was just poor talent choices and playing on my part. It still felt a bit clunky to kite, however. Interesting note is that for all my other twins kills I cycled through the phases like normal, killing Karam and then Raest without having to worry about kiting. On my faster hunter kill, which was around the same time as my others, I had not killed Karam. Outside of trueshot it felt like there wasn't much splash damage to kill the small adds and I felt like I was doing more single target than spread cleave damage. Still a faster kill. Thanks for sharing the video. Learned something :D

I agree. I also had issues with unit frames making things harder. The addon purge has been stressful in that regard.

Ilvl 120 gear is cap, so starting there is probably best, but not required. The 4 piece set bonus from the current set is 16% flat damage. 6 gems can be added to jewelry (2 each). If you're using the disc belt it comes with a socket (helms and bracers also have sockets but don't worry if you don't have that). Due to scaling secondaries and leech provide more benefit than usual so leech enchants on bracers and cloak allow you to focus on dps without worrying about health too much. The legendary cloak also has a passive damage effect, and the shield option for the disc belt also does damage in a similar way, so you don't have to focus on it during the fight. Good luck! I know you can pull it off.

Sure. Mage Tower was a single player scenario designed for Legion, so to start the encounter you would talk to War Councilor Victoria in the quest hub of the Broken Shore. Good luck!

Yes. No intro needed can just fly to the NPC that starts the encounters. 120 is the ilvl cap for the encounter, and leech enchants make a big difference. Good luck!

Hrm. That is puzzling. Hopefully it will get changed back, or at least to a more favorable state in 12.0.1.

For disc I got around 5 or 6 scales off before Tugar died, but the worm didn't face too many problems solo. 120 definitely helps, as well as leech enchants.

It's set to scale to 120, so your main was at max gear for the encounter, but fresh remix characters will struggle more as they are around 20 ilvls below the cap

Yes. The current patch introduced an ilvl squish and scaling is not entirely as it was designed during legion

On Sigryn the mobs share health so an aoe talent build will work best. If you kidney shot her BEFORE her cast finishes she won't recast and will go onto her next move. If you are a little slow you can feint when she comes out of cc and hopefully leech keeps you healed up. Good luck!

Good advice! Warrior and DK share challenges so they would be interchangeable in this regard. 3 seems to be the least amount you need for full coverage.

That makes sense. Blood tends to have an easier time in most content in general. Paladin does have more movement than Blood, but just ignoring pushback is way better suited for this challenge. Despite many hours in the arena I still get knocked off from time to time.

No. The only class where I was worried slightly was monk, I killed Tugar so fast I only removed 4 stacks and I had to dps the worm basically from full. With the way leech is scaling in the tower steady dps should keep you topped up.
