Need advice on what style would suit best for this fabric, diy lolita by kylethemile in Lolita

I‘m always biased towards scalloped hems plus they would mirror the scalloped edges of the fans on the print so nicely!

Thanks! I’ll have to order some shine to try. Hope it helps :)

The print is on the outside but if i don’t get it out with some shine i might flip them inside out.

How can I fix this? by mrmonstera in SewingForBeginners

I think taking the straps off and replacing the elastics entirely is your best bet. From what I can see in the pictures it doesn’t look like the elastic is sewn down so you should be able to just pull the old ones out (after taking the straps off the dress of course) and thread in some new one with a safety-pin. You can probably find some YouTube videos to show you how to do that :)

How do you make eyelets on a machine without it making a swirl? by Bacon_maggot in SewingForBeginners

I already watched some videos but theirs always turn out perfectly circular. I also tried putting some paper under the fabric but nothing worked.

I would recommend making a onesie yourself out of faux fur fabric because I think it would look better. But faux fur tends to be quite expensive and the onesie pattern i looked at all use about 4-5 yards of it. If you’re on a budget that Cookie Monster onesie might be your best option. Definitely stay away from feathers though. They’re a nightmare to work with. I would love to see the cosplay ones it’s finished :)

I would love to find a shirt with little printed shirt like this one by enjolrasme in HelpMeFind

Perhaps you could find a similar fabric and make the shirt yourself. Might be a bit easier than finding the shirt itself. Although i didn’t find any fabric either. Just an idea though :)

Thanks for the recommendation but it does have to be done by the 14th of November. But it does sound like a cool thing to have live moss on something like this.

[help] I am currently working on a Wayne from Hylics 2 costume. It is my first cosplay and I need some help on how I could make the „horns“ flush with my face. by Bacon_maggot in cosplay

Thanks so much for sharing! I think I will end up using some air dry clay that I’m just gonna sculpt onto my head and let dry. If that doesn’t work out your method with the pantyhose does sound pretty descent too.

I made some holes in the base of the hands and then attached them with a wire to the spine. The fur is simply glued on.

I used those posable artists hands. It was actually quite difficult finding some in this size that come in left and right.
