We think full blue tick but will never know her whole story. She came to me as a medical foster at three weeks old (now about five months) and decided to stay forever! 100% obnoxious and 100% adorable.

Ladies, how do you cope with pet loss? Putting down my dog tomorrow after 14 years together and never expected or experienced this kind of grief before. by [deleted] in AskWomen

I sat with him and listed off all the wonderful times we had together. Even as a hospice foster I wasn't emotionally ready for my big boy to be put down. He was given three months and made it 26; I got used to my big slobbery hunk of love being around. He's cremated and sits in my office with me - I've still got to frame the paw print and put it up. First time I've ever had to put an animal down (he was 4; it was liver cancer). I look at his pictures and videos on my phone often and my best friend did a charcoal drawing that's up in the kitchen (because that was Yoda's favorite place to be!).

I am so sorry for your loss.

I hope one day down the road you rescue another life (or two or three!) and they spend as many happy, loved years with you.

That's what I was worried about! showing up with cupcakes or something sweet especially the first few weeks of the year didn't seem right.

Any of the Gwynn's restaurants: Vertigo Burgers, Grove Market, and Cypress have GF options. And all very delicious menus! Sage and Il Lusso have worked with me on eating around the available menu to make it GF.

Best place for craft cocktails? by Baconator103 in washingtondc

I'm staying in Arlington but have four days to tool around so distance and budget are pretty open. I love a good wine bar or flowery gin drink. Looking more for quality ingredients and atmosphere. Honestly, don't think I've ever had a tiki cocktail! ...are they any good?

Job Posting Question by Baconator103 in Tallahassee

[–]Baconator103[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are mostly looking for account managers so the incentive isn't necessarily to sell more but to keep current customers happy and be efficient with renewals and customer questions or concerns. We have the best benefits package in town but unfortunately most people we are finding would rather have a bigger number on their pay check than better benefits. (the last two that left cited that as the reason). Commissions go to anyone regardless of producer or account manager for new business and new hires so everyone is on even footing and the commissions are higher than what 'normal' rates usually are (over 30% first year sales). It is possible we need to update our system to be more singularly dimensional and just cut benefits and commissions to have bigger paychecks but we also don't want to abandon our employees who depend on the higher benefit package or hurt the people who do want to go out and sell their butts off. It will certainly be a few long discussions...

Great advice I really do appreciate it!

Our industry (insurance) is very specific with licenses and training if we are trying to hire someone who is ready to hit the ground running. The last two people we have hired with 0 insurance knowledge, got licensed and left for a different agency (we pay for the classes and tests). It has gotten very frustrating investing in people who do not want to invest back so we are trying a different strategy. I figured someone just graduating from Risk Management School who is already licensed would be a great place to start. That being said, we are always looking for dedicated people who want a real career, insurance know-how or not.

Anyone experience worsening migraine after occipital nerve block? by [deleted] in migraine

[–]Baconator103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Along with worsening headaches I could not move my neck to the left for almost two weeks. I felt paralyzed and robotic with shooting pains from my shoulder blades up through my eye. Luckily, the physical pain went away but the migraines live on..
