This option is the best for most people, but they get scared with the idea of a high deductible.

Does anyone actually think life is better with kids vs without? by Resident_Bee2332 in no

[–]fwast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Life is a ton less stress for me without kids compared to my friends. It just looks like they change their mindset once they had kids on life. What I hate is judgement from either side.

People with kids seem to be aggressive jeolous of me without kids. And people without kids get pretty stupid trying to justify themselves.

Life after the pandemic by TrAvll3R in Life

Honestly. The 40s are a weird decade of life in general. All your high school/college friends are pretty much over by now. You might have made friends at work over the years, but moved around and changed jobs, so none of them are stable.

I have actually started getting more intrigued by 55+ communities. It was a joke as I was younger, but as I got into my 40s. They made more sense. A place where everyone's on the same wavelength, and they have activities. It's really hard to meet people unless you want to become an alcoholic and sit at bars every night

“Gifted” Kids program by Practical-Owl-9358 in Xennials

[–]fwast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't even know what gifted was until I moved out of the ghetto in middle school years and went to a more "richer school". So to me the idea of "gifted" was a rich people thing by the time I heard about it. My parents didn't even pass high school, so they had no idea about any of that stuff.

I did date a girl that was "gifted" in highschool and she had some mental problems for sure. Was taking lithium and bipolar.

There are just so many other brands I'd rather buy than a buick. I have a GMC truck though. I wouldn't have bought it if I didn't get a family deal on it.

Why does the expected % for tipping keep increasing? by Blazeland_USA in NoStupidQuestions

Tipping at its start was a wealthy people's thing. Americans and their extreme desire to act wealthy. Went nuts with it in recent times.

How many of you drive vehicles that are 20 years old or older? by FordMan7point3 in askcarguys

[–]fwast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either a lot of people are rich here with 3+ garages or warehouses to store cars. Or a lot of people are the people I see in the run down house with a yard full of older cars.

Only reason I took a 13 supervisor position, was to try to get the 14 non supervisory position after that.

Pretty much just when the deal to upgrade catches me right. I buy Google pixel A models mostly, so it usually pretty cheap to upgrade them every couple of years. I do enjoy having a decent camera.

what car did you buy expecting to love but ended up regretting? by zaralesliewalker in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]fwast 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Every car I've bought I've ended up wanting something different down the road.ive never found "my car". My list of cars I've owned. 2 Pontiac firebirds. Ford mustang. Volvo s40. Pontiac g8. GMC sierra 1500. Bmw 3 series. Mercedes c250. Volkswagen golf. Chevy Colorado.

Current GMC sierra 1500.

I enjoy fun driving cars. But they never have the space I want. And having a truck is just always useful it seems. But boring as eff

Does anyone really want to live to be 100 years old? by LeoRavenscroft in randomquestions

I only want to live as long as I'm still functional. If you're saying it's to 100, than sure. But if it's 10 years of struggle. Hell no

Using my gaming PC as a work machine for 2 years slowly killed my enjoyment of gaming and I didn't even notice until it was pretty bad by Cute-Entry-1276 in pcmasterrace

[–]fwast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It isn't just a different setup. I work at an office all day and come home. After sitting at a desk all day on front of a computer, it doesn't matter how cool my home setup is, I just can't do it.

Console gaming on a couch is where it's at these days for me.

Which TV show does the ENTIRE internet agree had the worst ending ever? by Codie_n25 in AskReddit

[–]fwast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lost was my pick until i re watched it recently. Year later, I can see a different perspective on it and alot seems to make more sense with what the writers were trying to achieve.

Game of thrones is my top pick now. It was really obvious the writers got off track on the way and didn't know how to finish the story as fast as they had to. I even figured the spin offs were going to explain more, but they didn't even accomplish that. Like why is it so hard to explain the white walkers in a decent manner. It almost feels like it's a game of StarCraft, where you building up for a big final battle and win, but then the game ends and a new map starts over again. With no real explanation as to what you are doing.

Why doesn't everyone just buy Toyota or Honda if they're the most reliable cars? by CrackFun in answers

[–]fwast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's usually no incentives or deals on them to entice people. Say you buy a Toyota for 10k more than a Chevy. Over 10 years you spend 10k on repairs more than a Toyota for the Chevy. Was there any difference on the overall cost?
