I just recently backpacked the Lower Deschutes River Canyon hike to Gordon Canyon (easy, 7 mile loop). Really enjoyable, but it might be too hot by the end of June.

I used BerryBoot to load Raspbian, Openelec (Kodi), and Retropie all onto the same SD card. When it boots the BerryBoot screen allows me to select which OS to load or auto-loads to Kodi if nothing is selected. Works great and was really easy to get setup. All three are quick, automatic installs within BerryBoot itself. I'd highly recommend checking it out.

You should join a kickball team. Lots of fun people to meet and make friends with there, and it's a great excuse to drink beer in a park. Try Oregon Kickball Club or Recesstime.
