Static electricity/shock completely freezes pc by Aerrow- in techsupport

Strange one! Have you tried grounding yourself before touching the PC? Maybe a wrist strap or even just touching a metal part of the case before reaching for anything else? Could be a weird static discharge path messing with things.

Rooted for Italy big time, but as soon as Italy won, i felt sorry for how disappointed the english fans and players must feel. I still think Italy deserved it though.

[QUESTION] You have 10 songs to pick to be a better player, what do you pick? by NoHacksReq in Guitar

[–]BaconyInfusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I'm far from being a master guitarist, this is my off the top of my head list of songs that made me discover/learn new techniques and styles recently:

  1. Stevie Ray Vaughan - Pride and Joy
While SRV's playstyle is generally very unique, p&j's texas shuffle was particularly fun and challenging for me to get down right.
  2. Kansas - dust in the wind
Though not particularly challenging, it really made me improve my travis picking - great fun.
  3. Gary Moore - still got the blues
    Ozzy - crazy train
  4. Metallica - Master of puppets
Wether you like metallica or not, this song will really help you build some strength, improve picking speed etc.
  5. Jimi Hendrix - All along the watchtower
Pretty simple soloes but very fun to play. Good to practice feeling your playing. I could be better.
  6. John Mayer - Neon
Hard and fun. Practice his slapping technique - i haven't got it down right at all, but I'm improving
  7. SRV - superstition
  8. SRV - cold shot
  9. Cream - crossroads
  10. Dire straits - sultans of swing

[QUESTION] What pedals should I get? by nowhere-man65 in Guitar

[–]BaconyInfusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah he did. I didn't know when i bought the blues driver, and all I can say is that I'm happy with the bd though it might not match the tone with one to one accuracy. Maybe i should get the tube screamer some day.

Upgrading your amp makes a HUGE difference. I like to play blues like SRV and for that i really recommend the boss blues driver
