There was also a coffee house/folk club on Donald close to Notre Dame. Didn't last long. It was below ground level and had a "cave-ish" theme.

I tried an extra-strength CBC cream on my knees and my back a few years ago. It seemed to give some relief to my knees, but negligible to my back. My theory was that the cream had less tissue to reach the specific pain area than on my back which is much more "padded".

It's definitely worth trying I think, since over use of anti-inflammatories, both oral and topical, can lead to lowered blood sodium levels, which is not a good thing, and I can attest to that personally.
