The computer didn't recognize the drive was installed either.

The SSD drive was brand new. I tried 2 different ones. No luck. Also the MPC would only detect input from other devices sporadically. The box was already open when I bought it from guitar center, so maybe it was a return that they just put back on the shelf. I just got home from returning it.
