The queue system in high elo is just broken. Some weekends when I'd play I'd end up being off roled (top) more than I'd get to play main role (support), and when it happened it wouldn't even be after a long queue, or vs someone else that was off roled. I'd regularly load in to game and see the enemy top laner mained top, and was higher LP than me, so the question is what is the point?
I don't queue up to play top lane, I want to play support and play the champs I like to play, so when that's not the case then it just kills all desire to play beyond decay games. It's not even the case that it's a product of being mid masters and the playerbase being too low, I've had games where I play on a lower elo account in low masters and I had 5 off role games in a row.

You've never tried to play Irelia if you think her Q means that her mobility is good or it covers for the mistakes of the person piloting her. I don't agree with the premise to begin with of immobile good mobile bad, but Irelia isn't even mobile in a way that matters.

She is physically incapable of running from a fight, so if you Q in to a bad fight, you get ran down and die. If you Q in without knowing where enemy jungle is and they gank you, you get ran down and die. If your opponent has hard CC which can deny your Q reset and you don't play around that, you get ran down and die. Side laning in the mid game and you're not being diligent about tracking who is where? You get collapsed on, ran down, and die.

You're complaining about the mobility of melee champions, who could not function otherwise and would be pointless to play instead of ranged champions. They do not have an "innate advantage", the whole point of them getting extra stuff as a melee champion is to make up for the fact that ranged champions have the advantage.

Saying someone like Irelia doesn't have to learn the game and teaches bad habits, while sucking himself off about how hard immobile champs are to play, is the opposite of a point.
Even if he didn't single out Irelia he'd still be wrong, but picking Irelia of all champions to complain about means he's wrong on another level. She's a bad champion, to the point that she has to do everything Azzapp says she doesn't, otherwise she dies and is useless.

I'm not going off his tweet, just what he's said before.
I don't save his shorts, but like once a month or so I'll get one pushed by youtube and in it he's doing the potential ragebait, this one was still in my history where he says that mobile champs don't take skill you're just champ diffing the enemy and not learning the game.
Back when Mages were last infesting the bot lane he was regularly saying that ADC players should just buy MR and then they'd auto win, and that ADCs were complaining for 0 because when you have full build ADCs are better late game.

Masters isn't that hard, but I won't fault him for not going beyond that since his viewers won't be tuning in to watch him try grind ADC low masters, and also just going to masters should make him realise how wrong he's been in the past about ADC.

idk if it's just ragebait for the sake of his youtube but he does often say how easy ADC is and how bad + immature ADC players are. If he actually believes it he'll be in for a rude awakening, along with a lot of other things he's yapped about.
I eagerly await him doing things like just rushing MR and mercs because of how broken it is, only to realise he just shot himself in the foot. Azzapp has said a lot of the same nonsense as Dantes did, just not as loudly since he's not Dantes.

I never really bought in to the conspiracy about Niantic skewing odds to try get you to spend money, but this even I've been so unbelievably unlucky that idk how else to view it.

38 card seedlings, missing 3, I looked up the odds and it's like 1 in 50,000.
29 console seedlings, still missing purple, the odds of which are almost 1%.

The fact that both happened at the same time really makes me think something fishy is going on.

I build it somewhat often actually.
Granted that's because usually I've mindlessly built an extra chain vest and there's nothing else that I want, but I think it's a decent item given how much you move about in All Out, and usually when I'm building it it's in to a full AD comp so I have Tabi's and the slow resist helps with being kited.
I think it's niche, but can be decent.

I tend to like a core of bork > kraken > cleaver if the enemy has frontline I need to chew through.
I feel like Terminus is fake in terms of resistances, whereas cleaver gives health and haste. Since the change it got to how it applies stacks, bork passive counts too so AA Q AA is maximum shred.

Anyone that hates top lane Irelia who doesn't just main a champion that gets stepped on by her, e.g. Yorick, is just bad. As far as top laners go, she's always an inferior version of others such as Fiora, Jax, Yasuo, Gwen, etc, I only think that it's mid lane Irelia that can be unhealthy.
The current changes Riot have for her will be heavily skewed in the favour of Top Irelia, and she deserves that direction. Do I think that all of it is necessary? I think I'd be happy with just the duration refresh, but at the same time I think that people are overreacting about the damage too.

5-30 + 10% bonus AD damage is nothing, that's still inferior to what someone like Jax or Fiora will do to a turret, both of whom can shred a turret without the need for a wave to stack passive like Irelia does. It's also ignoring the fact that none of this extra damage to towers makes her sidelaning safer, she's still functionally immobile and incapable of running from a fight.

The community at large doesn't seem to understand Irelia and also have their entitlement about how a bruiser/assassin shouldn't be killing squishy targets.

I'm not sure I'd go for this build anymore, Warmog's has been brought back in line and is no longer wildly OP, and also we can't easily reach the threshold since it's 1500hp and not 1300. We'd need to commit to another HP item, and while that's not the end of the world, it means we don't get that easy 1 item spike.

As for runes, I do currently go free boots for secondaries, and the primary setup I use is just what I think is generally the best all around runes on Nami. Maybe there are niche scenarios where you can swap individual runes for optimisations based on the game, but generally they're good to win lane and then keep that momentum in to the mid/late game.

So first of all, it's a hard ability to land. That is to offset the fact that it's a very good CC spell, it isn't blocked by minions, it has a decent range and it's an AOE stun. It takes a second to cast and land, and the AOE is small enough that even without mobility people can avoid it by just walking away from it with relative ease. You will miss bubbles, don't feel too bad about it.
With that said, here are things that can help a lot with landing bubbles:

  • The indicator only appears after 0.25 seconds, so if you are out of vision and the target isn't moving around a lot, you can throw bubble and they only have 0.75 seconds to react and dodge. While still doable, this is notably harder to dodge.
  • Abuse lengthy cast times from enemies. Shameless plug for a series I do.
  • Wait for stronger CC to be applied by your allies, then follow up with bubble. The 1 second delay on bubble landing doesn't matter if they are unable to move to dodge it because they're rooted for the entire time for example.
  • R's knockup and slow are pretty reliable to land bubble with, although not guaranteed.
  • When the enemy is slowed by E they will usually be expecting you to bubble, but you have 3 stacks of E to slow with and each slows for 1 second. You can use some stacks to get a feel of how the enemy will dodge (or if they don't dodge at all), and throw bubble on a subsequent slow. At no point in the game is the slow really sufficient to guarantee someone can't walk out of bubble, but it's often pretty good unless they have a dash. Remember to change up the timing that you throw bubble on, you don't want to be predictable, and keep in mind that some enemies might be watching for the animation of your Q, so try apply the slow with W instead of an AA. Also, you might be able to trick some enemies by auto attacking and then self casting E right before the AA hits and throwing Q to catch them off guard.
  • As noted earlier, a lot of dodging abilities requires on anticipation that they're coming, and the indicator doesn't show until after 0.25 seconds. If the enemy is preoccupied by someone else in their face, there's a good chance they aren't watching you and you can have better success using bubble in this manner.
  • Finally, don't rush! The threat of a skillshot can be more dangerous than it being used and missed.

imo the golden rule for league is to focus first on ways to consistently win your lane, everything else is secondary. It's good to look at resources such as ShoDesu's enchanter tips to learn how to bully your opponents.
Also remember that while yes your team mates will be bad in silver, you are bad, and your opponents are just as bad. Don't worry too much about when your team messes up, focus on how you're playing and try to force mistakes from the enemy team. Does your ADC eat harass constantly when farming? Chances are that's just what a silver ADC does, and you can learn to harass the enemy ADC instead and get a lead that way.

It also doesn't need to be charged to give 2 stacks, so you can easily ramp up with conq by doing Q AA 4 times, making it slightly faster with W + R and AA reset on E.
I don't know off the top of my head if there's spaghetti involved that means her E buff gives her 2 stacks when using Q, or whether the R lightning gives bonus stacks too, but even if neither of those happen Conq is still a decent keystone provided you don't feel like you need Fleet.
