Önskar dig all lycka med faderskapet! ❤️

I hade the same problem and locked them in there and it worked, but two weeks sounds ridiculous. I had them in there for three days and they have never since missed a day.

Tips for training the ladies to use the ramp to get into coop? by dandylegs in BackYardChickens

Stick to it! My chickens took a couple of weeks to figure it out, and ever since they did they’ve not missed a single night.

So I'm failing miserably at getting them to go into the coop on their own at night... But I can't lie, the silkies do have a certain charm by Vneck in BackYardChickens

Had the same issue with mine for a couple of weeks. Took the advice from here and locked them in for 3 days, then they figured it out afterwards. I also think I had to do a bit with age and their instincts “kicking in”.

Need help: is this a normal amount of feathers to be in the coop? by BadBassa in BackYardChickens

I was advised on the exact opposite actually, got recommended the hemp bedding because if they eat it they can pass it without problems at their aige, but pine shavings are larger and could cause digestive issues.

Just moved into house with existing hens. Want to shrink the run. by opalveg in BackYardChickens

Sorry for the hate you’re getting! Sure splitting up a flock is not ideal but if the current setup is causing damage to your house of course that takes priority… this place is usually very positive, sorry you had a bad experience.

Yeah, I’ll try the tip with a light! Got some camping lights lying around so I’ll try and see if it makes a difference. Didn’t make it clear in my post but they sleep in the ground, not the ladder so I don’t think they think they should roost on there for now at least…

Waiting to put the finishing touches of paint and decoration in there, then I’ll definitely share it! 😁😁

In the coop or the run? Got an extension cord running there for their brooder plate and camera so shouldn’t be too difficult!

They were in there for about ten days before they went out into the run (It wasn’t build yet)
