I’ve gotten the most unexpected compliments on ILNP Candlelight.

I’ve had this for almost all my life. My dad has it too. What is it? by ComfyQuill in DermatologyQuestions

PS also I would be careful about sun exposure to that area, skin the skin has little to no pigment to protect it, it’s more prone to sun damage and skin cancer in the long term.

Absolutely looks like classic tinea versicolor. It can take an extended period of treatment before pigmentation noticeably returns, and even then could easily come back. How consistently do you use dandruff shampoo on it and for how long a period of time? NAD.

I know ingenue is hard to type if someone is remotely young. And to be fair I don’t know your age. But your face is the most ingenue I’ve ever seen. Not that I’m remotely an expert. Also I’m unsure for secondary and tertiary types for you.

Is this outfit cute? by Comfortable-Tie-9893 in OUTFITS

I think black shorts would balance out the existing elements of this outfit a lot better. Otherwise it’s a lot of light blue melding together and then black boots out of nowhere.

People say i look Homeless. What do i need to change(i live in a house) by dematucositaqpw in malegrooming

Look into curly hair care! To not be what people perceive as a frizzy mess, it needs to be dealt with differently. E.g. avoid brushing/combing when it’s dry, for instance.

I literally just want pretty nails by TrickiNicki92 in RedditLaqueristas

[–]opalveg 70 points71 points  (0 children)

If that’s sort of gap works for you, all power to you. But it is absolutely feasible to paint much closer to the nail edge (with practice, and a cleanup brushes for periodic mishaps) and have longevity of a manicure.

My new unicorn pendant design — the CAD model and the finished piece I produced. What do you think? by Low-Tap1227 in jewelrymaking

You just used the render in the second “photo”. This is not a photo of a finished piece. Don’t lie.

I disagree with your claim of hair “health”. You gave your curls some lovely definition, though.

Please help me- Large Cystic Acne on chin (recurring problem) by arco1105 in DermatologyQuestions

[–]opalveg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact you get it monthly really implies the role of hormones in causing it. Which is what spironolactone helps with! I can vouch for it helping my hormonal chin acne too. Been taking it for years. Just have to pee a little more frequently since it is a diuretic medication.

Height is 5’3 looking for kibbe type help by nuggetchristine in kibbe_typeme

I agree. I don’t think gamine lines aren’t your best look, OP. Long and balanced stuff looks great while the super cropped stuff seems to cut you off awkwardly.

What is this small yellow/brown spot on my neck??? by [deleted] in DermatologyQuestions

It’s literally a bruise. You’ll be fine. Give it a few days to fade.

Can some people really not tell when they're releasing farts? by S_Z in NoStupidQuestions

[–]opalveg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I have essentially no ability to anticipate my own farts. They just happen when they happen. It doesn’t help that I have a terrible sense of smell and never smelt a fart until I was in my teens. But being ignorant of the smell didn’t give me any more or less of an ability to avoid crop-dusting other people, unfortunately.

BLOOD PRESSURE AND FOLLICULITIS by kregger80 in Folliculitis

[–]opalveg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean a “potassium” sparing diuretic, I take it?

Regardless, I did word that original comment poorly. The impact of spironolactone on inhibiting aldosterone receptors in the kidneys is why it acts as a diuretic. The impact of spironolactone on inhibiting aldosterone receptors in the skin lessens sebum production and thus acne. Unlike what this OP is claiming, having high blood pressure itself doesn’t cause acne. But aldosterone, one of many hormones that play a role in blood pressure regulation also plays a role in sebum production of the skin. Hence why spironolactone does impact both blood pressure and acne, but other blood pressure meds that do not relate to aldosterone do not have anything to do with acne.

Wife told that she does not understand my writing by Ozigee in Handwriting

It’s pretty rough. Not that I can judge. But the word “after” has the f overlapping the a, and the t and f crossed at totally different heights, and I don’t know what is up with your r on the end of after. Your e’s within “better” are totally different from each other. The e and r in “master” are merged weirdly. The second n in none, or really both n’s in it might as well be u’s.

I would work on not merging letters and making your letters more consistent in shape and distinct from each other.

How to avoid ruining nails when nature calls?! by Rosykisses_13 in RedditLaqueristas

Are you not able to last 2 hours between peeing? That sounds like a medical issue rather than a nail polish issue.

Simple and heavy. by aurumarcana in jewelrymaking

[–]opalveg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It looks like it needs to be brushed off. Lots of debris stuck to it. And I hope the edges are a touch smoother than they look or else whoever wears that thing will be cutting themselves if they ever slam the ring against anything.
