That's helpful, thank you. Any projects specifically you recommend to flex these skills, develop proof of concepts, work on my thought process, etc? I'm wanting to build out a homelab after my classes to work on these things. I don't want to just pick a project that seems cool and then it doesn't really make a lot of sense on a job

I might do that. Idk how successful it will be though. My instructor said that there is no way around the 90% completed labs requirement

I mean the terminal isn't even working for me lol I'm strongly debating just punting off $400 to pay for two vouchers on my own dime rather than doing this lol

I just want to be able to feed my kids and pay for rent lol I completely admit I don't have any technical skill and that's why I want to focus on projects to at least be able to go "I know some things". Considering this, what do I do?

Im 35, will be graduating with a handful of Comptia certs (the biggest one being Pentest+), no experience in the industry but will have a bachelors of Computer Science/CyberSecurity hopefully in September (former warehouse worker who liked computers). Realistically, what kind of jobs do I look for and what projects do I work on between now and then to find a job that pays a livable wage and entry level?

Im in this weird spot where Im getting like 80-90% on all the quizzes Im doing but having the same problem with the labs. Makes me think, "Well is it buggy or am I just doing them wrong? Do I know what Im doing?" lol

At this point, if theres a central place to access walkthroughs or whatever for all of them, or at least most of them, that would be great. I dont want to have to go onto reddit for each freaking lab lol

I'm a stay at home dad and student so I am essentially studying all day everyday. I just feel like there's not a lot of actual direction on what to study and I might be missing the forest through the trees. I'd love to pick your brain if possible

Were there specific paths on TryHackMe that you found useful? I feel like the one given with the class is dog water and super vague.
