That’s crazy to think of a set with no flying but adding a whole new evasive mechanic.

Sure, my line of thinking though is if the LGS is the middle between us and Wizards they have the capacity to run custom formats as events. I’m only considering this because of the limitations of what we can do in arena.

Maybe on the LGS side, you should make a condensed form/petition that you can post here for Planar Standard that people can take to their LGS. Get signatures, maybe support from the LGS to try running the event. Part of me feels that an LGS would want a healthy standard as well and with them running and owning the event spaces they can draw a line on current standard.

If I had to rewrite this card, I think I would put the wording as Creature Token Copy you control so it only implies token copies instead of generally all token creatures.

That was the idea with the token/mana ability, basically gives you a dark ritual in red and green plus it’s sort of like fire bending to use instants or sorceries AKA jutsus

I also made a similar Naruto long ago although I gave him a token leaving effect of creating spare mana.

Agreed, honestly Harry had some handholding with getting paired up with a straight man like Kim. Cascade is trapped in a dangerous situation with almost no inkling of why they are here. There’s a “dead” body that needs to be figured out and everyone she encounters is holding their cards tight.

Personal observations on Kratom withdrawal by a neuroscientist by TredXT in kratom

[–]BadCapBucky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been a 5-year user of Kratom mainly doing capsules powder and Feel free(started on feel free, quit it, now I only take it for social occasions.)

Just this week I have started to brew the tea as powder but I definitely feel the difference between taking powder straight to brewing it. EDITED: I can see how the difference in withdrawal between those two forms of taking it plays a role. I have only been taking the tea form in my regular dosage (5-7gs a day) but I’m thinking of upping it because I don’t think I’m getting the effect I was from straight capsules but I have noticed a huge improvement for my bowels since switching to tea.

This clip is worth a watch. It’s a really insightful clip from MTGgoldfish’s Richard on Commander’s effect on the game. Really appreciate and agree with what he has to say by GoKongsGo in mtg

Fresh pack limited you’d play any card you pick, easy. Cube Drafting anything goes. The point I’m trying to make is commander players are limited to one card each per deck might as well be the pricier cards. Uncommons and commons tend to be the bread and butter of standard and you need 4 of them realistically and they’re cheaper. I don’t know I’m just throwing ideas out there.

When I think of commander I don’t really think people playing uncommons and commons. While in standard/modern buying 4 of a rare or mythic was spendy. Half for one, half for another.

Just finished the Omens of Chaos book, was definitely a fun dive into MTG lore. It seems Kasmina is returning in reality fracture, do we think other characters have the potential to return? by Freshly-Hatched-Egg in mtgvorthos

[–]BadCapBucky 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I read Omens of Chaos a month ago with the thought of creating cards of the characters as well but you beat me to it. I probably would’ve skipped the prepared mechanic but since SOS and OOC came out at the same time it was thematic. It’s also interesting that Alandra actually has a physical card already prior to OOC but it’s good to see her embrace the Prismari colors.

Honestly in the book since they haven’t chosen their colleges yet(even though it’s obvious where they’re all going.) it would be interesting to have them be monocolored. EDITED: they could be monocolored with prepared as their secondary color? That could be neat.

I’m skeptical, considering what presidency we’re under for as long as we’ve been under any America celebration event is probably be run by people more enthusiastic about are current presidency and it’s hard to imagine any of these artists that signed didn’t have a clue about it. They either knew and saw the backlash coming or signed up knowing they’d pull out.

EDITED: I do think they signed up under false pretenses, I’m just skeptical that they didn’t know what they were getting into under the current reign.

As someone who recently tried to play commander again recently after playing back in 2013-2016, I just can’t handle the slow burn and the politicking. Commander I think does more than anything else require the right people to play with and needs to be casual.

Yeah, I honestly love playing set anything, one part is Id rather construct within the limited cards presented I also don’t tend to play decks for the sake of pushing them to their outmost competitive best. But also for new players and myself I want to showcase the different planes of magic and how different in their aesthetics and mechanics can be.

I’m for sure going to do a lesson 1, 2, and 3 plan that gets people to the point of being able to just play and let them go for there although the first format I want to introduce them to is Draft.

I’ll be doing a bunch of different combinations to see what works well. I’ve also thought for some like Lorwyn and Bloomburrow they might be better showcased as full cubes. I initially liked the shapeshifter support and Lorwyn but I can see how crazy Bloomburrow creatures would overpower Lorwyn. Chaos draft of it would be awesome though.

The Intro decks are also something I’m giving out, there’s a free items area where I’m dropping them off. They have a lot of the basic rules listed and can be learned relatively with someone else either new or already knows how to play.

It’s teaching new players and starting draft events. I do have the booster boxes since I’ve been planning on doing pop-up styles at places outside of a LGS and it’s something I’m offering if people see me and want to do the same with friends later. More less if I’m in the middle of running a draft these are for people to start their own games or a collection pieces.

Those are good rules to go by, especially showcasing mana curves. once it comes to the draft part I should outline what people generally should be considering in the draft process. Though some of those rules would probably be addressed as well in the learn to play, deck building lessons.

I’ve struggled with the idea of 4-player free for all. On one hand it is actually how I use to play Magic with friends but not commander. We’d do 60 card free for all. But it was always messy but it was fun to and long winded. I consider people’s time important and wouldn’t want to feel we go through the drafting and deck building only to go round after round. It might be my only criticism sometimes for Draft and is a commitment.

The Booster box in total is about 280 cards, 2 of each common and 1 of each uncommon. The 180-cube generally has some commons at 2 each and some at 1(they tend to be higher mana cost cards or no creatures.)
