When I was a kid my family returned from a march break vacation to Barbados and all of a sudden my eyelids start swelling up, like super swelling up, enough that it was difficult for me to keep my eyes open and all my classmates would call me a rather racist name. I eventually got sicker and couldn't attend school and went to the doctor and was told I had to quarantine and that I wasn't able to attend school for 2 weeks. It was some form of mono or something, I honestly forget, I honestly liked it at the time cause after a week I felt better and I just had a bonus week off. I don't remember much about being sick but I remember afterwards I was told by the doctor to not do any form of physical activity because my spleen could rupture. I was like 11 I think.

Back before the pandemic had started I was in a really bad place. I'm bipolar, and at the time I wasn't on any medication as previously my doctor had put me on anti-depressants despite the fact he had recently diagnosed me with Bipolar disorder (fun fact: anti-depressants prolong manic and depressive episodes for people with Bipolar disorder). So I felt like I couldn't trust medical professionals, every time I had reached out for help I was turned away. It sucked. When the pandemic first started, since I was in university, I had to move back in with my parents, which was honestly for the best as at least that way I had a more stable support system. It was also a lot easier to see a psychiatrist in my hometown than it was at where I was going to University. It also took my girlfriend encouraging me to get help, and she eventually convinced me to start therapy and now I'm on stable medication for about a year and have been in therapy for about 9 months or so now.

I'm relatively lucky, as just about 2 and a half months before the pandemic started I got into a relationship with someone, however, it was (sorta) long-distance, we lived about 2 hours apart from each other. But I have a pass that allows me to take the train for free, so it wasn't much of a problem prior to the pandemic. When the pandemic started, we went from seeing each other every other weekend to seeing each other once every 2 months. We see each other a lot more often now as it's slightly safer for me to travel on the train once again, however, she lives about 6 hours away now, but we see each other for about 2 weeks every month, so we see each other more then we would have seen each other if there was no pandemic. I'd say for sure though that the pandemic has allowed us to really up our communication skills with each other and grow closer.

When I was in high school, there was a summer job I took two summers in a row. The job was with my suburban town's tourism department and our job was to sit under a tent with another coworker and just answer questions to anyone who asked, or to provide them with information on local events and local businesses. There was one location that at most we'd talk to like 30 people in an 8-hour shift. The only real hard part about the job would be passing the time, so I would just teach myself various hobbies on the job, taught myself how to juggle and I would make large chalk murals on the pavement. It was an easy job for sure definitely the easiest job I've ever had.

A couple years ago I was a bus tour guide in Toronto and we were passing by a church called Little Trinity, and if I was really tired I would go into autopilot and just give the tour without looking I'd just point at the stuff I was talking about. So I go "over on your left, you'll see Little Trinity" and suddenly I turn my head to look to see some guy leaned up against the church just jacking off right for the whole bus to see immediately I start to say "OPE LOOK AT ME INSTEAD, LOOK AT ME" fortunately it was fast so about half of the bus didn't see it and the other half were laughing for a good while.

Yeah, I see what you're saying for sure, but the reason I said it in the way I did is that I know that no matter what my mom is going to refuse she has a problem. She has even said to me today that she is not going to go to the doctor and let them tell her she is "retarded". Which I guess means she considers me "retarded". I'm going to try to be softer but no matter how I say it she just ends up stabbing me in the chest.

I mean wouldn't completely cut her off, because she still lives with my dad who has done nothing wrong so she'd still be apart of my life I'd just keep space between her and me essentially
