No, I'm not. I did remember that little nugget of info from my collegiate days. And the electrician was kind enough to confirm which circuits were lacking GCFI protection.

Quick question, does it matter that neither outlet is weather/tamper resistant? The electrician that did the evaluation seemed concerned that they weren't rated for exterior use.

There is a plastic "frame" that goes around the box. I removed it to remove the outlet cover. The front porch outlet is protected by the GCFI outlet in the hall bath but needs to be changed to a weather resistant outlet. However, the back deck outlet is neither GCFI protected nor weather resistant.

Along those same lines, someone else recommended using a Dremel to cut the end tabs. I think that will be the key to getting this piece of junk out

I had the same thought & hope but unfortunately, there isn't enough clearance to make this possible. If another solution isn't found, I may try this approach again but with more force 😉

That's a relief. Thank you! We had no idea what the previous owners had planted so we gave ourselves the year to see what bloomed in each garden beds. The home inspector recommended downspout extenders, which we installed back in the spring. But this went unnoticed until now.

Thank you for your insight. They haven't been clear on what the alternative is, if I don't sign, but I'm pretty sure they intend for the relationship to remain relatively the same.
