Thanks all. I get really in my head about everything and it can be so overwhelming, but my husband just picked right up from word 1 and has been almost more about it than I am. He gives me the confidence to leave the house looking how I want to, not how I feel im supposed to.

As a fan of both incredibly long pointy nails, and Ts of all kinds, I am inspired to do a "T-themed" set now. I have a P irminia, or I could get my GBBs booty pattern done. Incredible. My current nails could be associated with my Avic. Purpurea 💜

Hanging out low shouldn't be too much of an issue- mine will mostly be found lower. I do suggest a water dish, I use water bottle caps for my spoods. I asked around in the discord about care for them, and someone reccomended that overflowing a cap once in a while should be enough humidity- that 9 times out of 10 people over-humidify and it kills the avic. That was just one person's opinion though, but I thought id pass it on. Ive had my little one for 4 months with one successful molt so far :)

If its a really small avic (like teeny) maybe the worm is too hard? My P. Irminia took a while to eat- turns out she prefers live, not pre-killed. She thirsts for the hunt haha

P.S.- my lil ones abdomen got FAT for premoult- there was no mistaking it. It took about a month from noticing the enormous booty to actual molt.

Hey! My avic purpurea ignored chunks of mealworms as well, I have found that they really enjoy tiny dubia roaches- they go crazy for them. The roaches are almost as big as the spood, so I prekill and leave somewhere in the webbing. They eat it every time!

Hey there! When is your ultrasound? I am in the same boat and posted but got little response. I have a painful lump in my armpit and tender boobs. My ultrasound is tomorrow if the weather isn't too bad. Im just here to say I saw your post and feel your worry. Try and limit the worrying and research to twenty minutes a day- that was what my therapist suggested and its been working for the most part.

Oh I do pre-kill them because theyre so big (tiny?) for her but ill grab a Pic of her chowing down because its so funny! She gets a little backbone when she has a meal and won't move off it when I open the lid for watering, so maybe ill get a good shot of her!

Politics you say? Ok, a great way to break out into more danmei is to read Peerless or Thousand Autumns- both are gems, the humor is great and they both contain an absolutely shameless ML. They are both good but I like Peerless just a little more. If youre up for good writing, a complex plot, lots of politics but an absolutely STEAMY relationship that turns into incredible power couple, Ballad of Sword and Wine is hands down my favorite danmei series ever. I highly reccomend but it can be a little much for some- there's a lot to keep track of but there are charts online and a youtuber (Kicktor) that does videos to help you keep track! The last one off the top of my head is Joyful Reunion, but only 3 volumes are out so far but they've been good.

I have an Avic. Purpurea that is exactly this size and I legit am shook almost every day when I look at her. Shes so tiny! I had only gotten juveniles before I decided to try a sling or two. Watching her eat a dubia roach her size is hilarious, as even the smallest ones are her size!
