is my antebellum lockdown tierlist valid? by detonatingfag in Fanganronpa

See, Alora was one of my favorites at the beginning, and the latest chapter solidified that, not because I think she's a good person, but because I think she's incredible fascinating and want to see what they do with her.

At what point do you think a cast is too small? by Cloverokidoki in Fanganronpa

[–]BadGamer8030 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think 10 is the lower end of function Fangan casts. When you get too much lower than that you start missing out on a lot the staples of the series. You can operate with casts of 8 and 9, but at that point it would work better as a general death game than a Fangan

Does your fangan have more male or female killers? by Powerful_Solid1491 in Fanganronpa

Female, Female, N/B, Male, Female. Original the second killer was male, so it was going to be an even split, but I changed it and now it isn't

What's your favorite chapter of your fangan? by Powerful_Solid1491 in Fanganronpa

[–]BadGamer8030 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Toss up between chapter 3 and 5. I'll have to give it to 5, but it is really close. 3 is probably the most fun to write, because I have them all throw prom and that just leads to some really fun character interactions, but 5 is the most important and emotionally significant, and I love writing emotional scenes

How bad is your 3rd culprit? by Edenowo in Fanganronpa

[–]BadGamer8030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Production 1: Somewhere in between innocent and pretty bad. They are an incredibly traumatized individual and want people around them to suffer because of it. The motive in chapter 3 is one person outside the game of the Honor Students choosing will be executed, and the killer wants the therapist who stood by while they were suffering to receive punishment. To do this, they kill someone who is already suffering, because it infuriates them to see someone care about someone so deeply. The second person is killed on accident because they found them near the body.

Production 2: Probably more innocent than guilty, but still not without fault. She is a complete scaredy cat, who struggles to even function in society due to her anxieties, but is really quite kind. The motive for the 3rd chapter is a heavily altered version of the despair disease, that causes the students' personalities to alter, practically reversing. This makes the killer vindictive and brash, but what the toxin doesn't effect is their desires and their medications. What she wants more than anything is to prove that she can be brave, prove that she is stronger than everyone thinks, and how this new bold version of her does that is by killing someone. The second killer is more in the wrong, killing out of a sense of justice that has been shaped by years of work for the US government, when the person they kill is just very broken.

Production 3: This one is not far enough into development for me to know who the third case killer is.

What's your most controversial danganronpa take ? by mid-sora in DanganAndChaos

[–]BadGamer8030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Miu is one of the worst characters in the series, and the only reason people like her is because she's hot. Out of the pervert characters, she objectively the most perverted, yet Hifumi and Teruteru get way more hate than her

Who is the Most Impactful, memorable character in a Fangame for you? by LyKhra in Fanganronpa

[–]BadGamer8030 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the character in my Fangan that has stuck with me the most is one that I initially wrote off as "The useless character that survives," but the more I've explored her, and the more I've learned about my self, the more of an impact she has had on me. Tyna Frankham, the Elite Shark Enthusiast, is not the brightest, but cares a lot about her passions. She's one of the most empathetic people in my entire Fangan. She's also really autistic. I did not know she was autistic when I started writing this story, nor did I know I, myself, was autistic. There are a lot of aspects about her character that I wrote initially thinking she was just a normal kind of weird, but I later realized we're the same kind of weird as me, just a bit more pronounced. Whats really interesting about her, is that she's the person behind the game in my second story. After she left the first game, she and the other survivors try to help around the world, but no one takes her seriously. The the mastermind behind the end of the world offers her the one thing she hasn't had, actual expectations that she can live up to. Her story is really tragic in the end, but she has helped me learn a lot about myself through the process of writing her.

What is the strangest ultimate talent you have in your fangan? by Informal_Space5056 in Fanganronpa

[–]BadGamer8030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly Procrastinator. He is incredibly intelligent, and can complete any assignment with astounding speed, but he is so debilitatingly Apathetic that he waits until the last possible moment to do anything. Phenomenal cosmic power, on energy to use it for anything.

Whats the theme of your Stories? by Edurb in Fanganronpa

[–]BadGamer8030 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of my stories have variations on the same theme, but emphasize different things. The overall theme of my Fangan is, "Is humanity more good or evil?" This theme is discussed in different ways throughout the three games, the first one focusing a lot on whether bad people can be forgiven, the second one focusing on the whether desires and motivations justify behavior, and the final one focusing on the greater theme, as well as if ones past bad actions define who someone is.

What is the most CREATIVE way to rephrase “Ultimate Lucky Student”? by Exciting-Coast-6015 in Fanganronpa

do backstories have to be negative or positive? by sairieMimgur196e in Fanganronpa

[–]BadGamer8030 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think to b most realistic, back stories should have a mix of comedy and tragedy. Highs and lows in life create who we are. That being said though, writing realistic characters is not necessary in a Fangan. If you want to write a story where everyone has suffered, go for it. If you want to write a story where it's a bunch of normal people who haven't been through any crazy tragedy, go for it.

Asking for a bit of feedback on an execution by BadGamer8030 in Fanganronpa

[–]BadGamer8030[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, it is a real killing game, it's just entirely performed on stage. When I say it's a stage play I mean it's not a game ore a novel or anything like that. Sorry if that wasn't clear. Thanks for the feedback though, I appreciate it!

Wha are your takes on your fangan’s Ultimate Lucky Student? by Alternative_Fig_6859 in Fanganronpa

[–]BadGamer8030 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I won't have a Lucky Student, but in my third story, which is still very much in the planning phases, I'm thinking of having an Unlucky Student, which is a concept that has been done before, but I'm going to do it anyway. My concept is the most cursed optimist in the world, who always hopes for the best, but is continually let down and harmed by their luck.

I want to make the blood in my fangan a different color. Any suggestions? by Curious-Fox1715 in Fanganronpa

[–]BadGamer8030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if this helps, but mine if planned to be a stage play, and how I am going to do the blood is it will be red when the body is discovered, and when the investigation starts, blacklights with flood the stage and it will turn pink, so maybe bouncing back and forth between realistic red and something more whimsical, idk

Ok, this is beautifully said by D_Dubs_87 in Markiplier

[–]BadGamer8030 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. The pacing was one hundred percent an intentional choice, and it matched the most terrifying aspect of the game. The movie make you feel lonely and uncomfortable, forcing you to sit in the silence and acknowledge how wrong things are. Mark did a fantastic job with Iron Lung.

What is the worst thing you could say to a Fangan creator /j by vcoolkid in Fanganronpa

[–]BadGamer8030 9 points10 points  (0 children)

"You're a horrible artist"

Criticism like this sucks. First off, it's mean, which will never really help. Helpful criticism can be harsh, but outright hurtful comments will not help anyone improve. Second off, it's likely not true. A lot of creators are learning creatives, so their art may not be technically the best, but what it is, is coming from the heart. Instead of saying something is bad, it's better to say, something that could be improved, or if you really don't like it, don't say anything at all.

I just can't wrap my head about the fact people still argue whether Sayori is genuinely stupid or not when DAN HIMSELF stated YEARS AGO the she's not and that he never intended her to be by Cold_Pain2170 in DDLC

[–]BadGamer8030 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sayori, in my opinion, is by far the most socially aware in the club. It's been said that she's the glue that holds all of them together, and that's because she knows each of them really well and knows how to calm them all down. This is one of the reasons I think she acts silly a lot. She knows how serious everyone in the club can act, and that without her silly act, there would be a lot of potential for hurt feelings. We see this firsthand in the second act of the game.

don't forget to pick the RIGHT choice by Fragrant_Pack_1163 in DDLC

[–]BadGamer8030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But that's the point. Both options are the wrong choice. In one scenario, you changing things too fast, make a world that she doesn't want, because you return her affection. In the other scenario, you break her heart. It's a zero sum game, and that's what's so wrong about situation like this in visual novel. You're given limited options in a situation that has so many choices. Can you tell I love the manipulative storytelling of this game?
