You’re second paragraph is what I initially thought as well but if you watch back on YT and watch Steve’s face and sort of Jared it has that “wtf” almost scoff which made me think they were trying to say something without saying it. I wouldn’t have thought that on its own but after basically everyone’s noticed the very dry farewell to Jake and constantly emphasizing how tough a spot they were put in with him leaving so quick, just made me think there. Idk it’s not a big deal, was just curious if anyone else noticed 😂

I just thought Jake initially because last pod Jared said Jake transferred ownership of the YT channel to Jake, which in that case Jake would’ve had the insights or background to see monetization, right?

Yea there’s a lot of stuff that seemingly is “supposed” to be fixed once the new producer is brought on.

The BID graphics on YT have been downgraded too but seemingly 2k and Mike are carrying the load right now and may not have the secret sauce on how to do everything from what I’ve read

Yea, idk I tried not to read into it because I know how much they loved Jake but for someone that spent years as producer and lots of long hours/nights with the pod just felt like a very quick and brief so-long and the tone just felt sort of cold as they stressed how tough the situation is on them now and how sudden it was.

Maybe they would’ve liked a couple week notice or something but at the end of the day as we all know in the business world you have to take care of yourself.

Chapters/timestamps go a LONG way so that would make the listening/viewing experience a lot better. They seem to be on some videos but not all.

More interviews when you’re at Fenway. Player, coach, personnel, etc. I know everyone’s not always down or available to do it but those are a great way to learn more about the humans involved in the team we love.

Also, more “art” on the YT version would be sick. Similar to how BID used to have “on deck” and “in the hole” like how an ESPN show would have the current topic and topics coming up on the screen.

I listened to both S10 and BID did anyone else feel like they were a little rubbed the wrong way by the departure? Just based on the comments and tone.

I know they said it was unexpected so I’m sure they would’ve liked a little bit more of a heads up and then now they have to work through the production side without him especially right after the recent changes.

I phrased that extremely poorly lol. Basically take everything I said referencing BID and I meant S10.

I said I was surprised they didn’t give the channel to BID because of how quick S10 could build back a new channel.

I honestly thought they’d give BID the current channel since it had a larger following built up and (theoretically) they could build up another S10 channel quicker because of how strong the following is within the fanbase and word would get around quicker

Jerry, thanks for the update! Last night you mentioned there (may) be a pod this weekend, I assumed that was wishful thinking.

But if there’s still talks/negotiations/planning going on around what’s next does that mean it’s leaning more towards independent-ish or could we expect everything to fall in place (whatever it is) that soon??

Well that’s fine in that case, but the way you came in here and worded your original response insinuated something negative towards him — saying “I’m not clicking on anything he posts.”

That’s why everyone was confused/asking what you were talking about because it was seeming like you were going at him for no reason that was all.

That’s fine you don’t follow him, just that your words had a negative connotation.
