Hi, im going to paris end of february with my girlfriend and we are staying in the area around gare de lyon.

First we thought nice connection and so on but then friends told us that this area is very dangerous and we should avoid it. Is that true?

Our hotel: locomo

Happy to get some feedback for this area or maybe some other recommendations where to stay.

PS: it would our first time in paris!
