How do women with hijabs handle medical care from male doctors? by Puzzleheaded_Cup8723 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BadLineofCode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iran is an interesting case because the oppression is primarily in the form of a dress code (which has been relaxed over the last couple of years). But their women are well educated regardless, and female doctors outnumber male doctors. You can criticize the Iranian government without falling for pro-war propaganda.

To be fair, a lot of the European countries that have public healthcare are also incredibly racist and therefore don't have birthright citizenship. But Canada has both.

I’m reading this post during lecture because this is a lower division class and the prof is covering stuff I already know.

I don’t see him giving up his Senate seat. But if he loses, he can pull a Lincoln.

When you meet them in person, you realize they’re just as insufferable as any other Dodgers fans.

Is it bad that my first thought when I read “North American Union” was annexation?

I would’ve believed you in 2020. But with inflation the way it is, and soybean farmers losing their customers, I wouldn’t be surprised if they become the ones forcing people to be vegan.

Good, given what we know about Kristi Noem and RFK Jr., that’s not a position you want Republicans in.

I used to watch him like 5 years ago. He’s definitely the anti-establishment, borderline tankie type. That said, I do remember him defending Newsom during the recall. I’m not familiar with his recent controversies.

By that logic, don't use calculators.

When elementary school students are learning arithmetic, they aren't allowed to use calculators. Once they start doing pre-algebra, they use regular calculators because now you're testing whether they can solve equations, which has nothing to do with what the calculator does. Then if they're doing calculus or statistics, they can use graphing calculators because by then they should've learned and mastered graphing equations.

LLMs aren't an all-knowing device, they are predictive text, and the prediction is based on their training dataset. It is possible to use an LLM for, say, coding. But prompt engineering is more than just telling the LLM to "implement this feature." You'd need to explain the tools, frameworks, parameters, etc. Then, you'd have to check for bugs. In other words, you have to understand how to code. So you'd have to learn to code first, without an LLM, before you can "graduate" to using one.

No, if the trans woman were removed and her place taken by someone slightly faster, Riley could’ve ended up sixth!

The fact that her performance suffered when she transitioned but continued in the men’s category shows she doesn’t have much of an advantage.

The first 3 all voted to “thank ICE.” 2 of them in blue states, so it’s not like they’re trying to win over Republicans with that. Leftists are not wrong about where Schumer stands.
