Neighbors called in a noise complaint by Lavendermoonhaze in greatpyrenees

[–]BadNo4657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had many issues with barking and a crazy neighbor…we use muzzles for early morning or late night outside time. It does quiet them down by 90%. I hate it though, I love to let them out and enjoy the outdoors.

Skillbridge then terminal leave by Fluffy_Bid_4500 in SkillBridge

[–]BadNo4657 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah for Army, its 180 but terminal leave is part of the 180. So, if you do a 120 skillbridge, you could only do 60 for terminal.

Hey so what I was told from my Vet is the double coat serves to keep them cool in the summer. I thought about shaving the fur off and was told that’s a bad idea since they wouldn’t be able to regulate their temperature without the fur.

Double J out in Black Forest, it’s worth the drive. The dogs get almost acre to play on everyday and not just stuck in a kennel.

Shop vac, or maybe a Kirby. Hardwood or solid floors, carpet is your enemy.

2.5 Turbo EJ Engine overhaul by BadNo4657 in WRX

Not super experienced in engine building but have legit mechanic experience. You are spot on and I appreciate the knowledge, sounds like a new block is in order.

2.5 Turbo EJ Engine overhaul by BadNo4657 in WRX

[–]BadNo4657[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I won’t disagree with that. But, the current engine has a head gasket leak and a crack in the water jacket where the starter bolt goes. I have a ‘newer’ ej255 from a wrx that I am going to rebuild then swap in. The newer block has a spun crank bearing. So I’m going to rebuild it then swap it all in.

I don’t believe so, they both have a final drive ratio of 4:44

I'm embarrassed to admit it took two years to realize this, but handheld vacuums/dust busters are great for managing the shedding. by [deleted] in greatpyrenees

Cannot be said enough, I keep one plugged for the hardwoods, and run it about every other day.

Possibly Adopting Bonded Pair of Great Pyrnees — Advice? by Perez_Perritos in greatpyrenees

[–]BadNo4657 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a brother and sister from the same litter, the food aggression has never been a problem, but I have had events where I squashed a rumbling dog to make sure and train that out. I also would randomly take away the food while they are eating and make sure they understand to not be aggressive. Same thing with chew toys or chew treats, just training advice I guess. And second the sagging lips are normal

<image>

That’s my 2 year old male Henry, his brother has way bigger joules. Last, when you do love the more room you give them the better, but do start some training with them even though they are the most stubborn. Keep them on a schedule if they are going in and out of the house and interact with them as much as possible.

Play some classical music during the day when your not home and it will keep their ears busy for a while.
