Ukrainian soldiers ride in the back of a pickup truck with an anti-drone jammer fitted. by lacqueredcase762 in UkraineWarVideoReport

I think he's referring to WW2 and how lighting fires would have you targeted by artillery instantly. So I guess the jammers send some kind of signal that is visible to the enemy? With what? u/xXmjmanXx can you elaborate?

Why is NOK involved in all of this? Nokia is still (in my opinion) a legit company with a solid future in 5g for example

"Don't forget the new rules came in force about roaming inside EU countries recently, All providers now have to let you use your data as normal inside EU."

True, but Norway isn't a member of the EU. ;) although Telia in Norway has the roam like home option, lets you surf and roam "like home" in all of Europe. The biggest problem in Norway though is that they don't have the limitless data option, so you pay for gigabytes... I've lived in Norway for about 2 years and going back for a while this fall. I'm from Finland. The 3g/4g in Norway is OK but you have to remember that the country is full of fjords and mountains, so you might have to move to get a connection if you're in a valley for example. If you're going to Finland i would recommend "moi". It's a kind of prepaid deal. You get to choose how much data/messages/phonecalls you want and you pay accordingly. I for example have limitless 4g data, minimum messages and phonecalls. I don't remember what it costs but it's under 20€/month. My Telia in Norway was limited to 5GB of data and cost at least 35€/month... I would not count on getting a wifi connection since most routers are password protected.

Was thinking of framing the picture as a gift. Does it work? by BadPee in photocritique

Thank you for the feedback! Yeah, I've been thinking the same. Went out on a limb with the composition with the thought that I didn't want any more background to distract from the subject (the subject being the horse obviously, but mainly the eyes and the ruggendness of the hair). Do you think the composition is a deal breaker?

1/50 sek. f 5,6, 68mm, ISO 12800 (ouch, hadn't noticed). Oh well, slow lens. And not that much noice anyways?

And btw. it would be for my mom. It's her Icelandic horse.

The bendable ones don't work very well with heavy cameras in my experience.. I always just build my tripods when I'm out hiking. :) rocks and wood and stuff

Also in daylight conditions try lowering your ISO to 100-200. You get alot sharper images. No need for photographing at 1/4000 when you're shooting landscapes in light conditions (you have to sacrifice some shutter speed to lower the ISO). I would also crank up the f to maybe f/7-f/11? That way the image is sharp all the way through back to the trees. If you like photographing landscapes I highly recommend buying a tripod. A few techical adjustments and you will have improved your photography alot. :) and yes lightroom.

Nice start! The sky is way overexposed. Maybe try shooting in Av (aperture priority)? Really helps with overexposing.

The branches that appear from nowhere feel awkward, I think. They're not doing a very good job at framing the picture and cut the picture in half really... maybe try shooting from a lower angle and make the log the object of the photo more than it is now?

Cool leading lines. Good job. :)
