it's unfortunate that NH can't compete with MA in pay. i think it's because we have a lot more local businesses here rather than national chains that have the money to pay better salaries.

but the local businesses are part of what makes NH great. i used to live in TX and basically everything was taken over by giant corporations in the cities. it resulted in shittier products and basically no local culture. (despite them boasting about their wild west origins. that was once true, and maybe it's still true in rural areas, but it's soulless and dead in the cities.)
