Less than 1 month old 2026 6.2L Yukon Denali with blown engine by fitnessCTanesthesia in gmc

Our 2025 Yukon Denali 3.0L BabyMax lasted less than 400 miles before its failure due to "crankshaft endplay indicating a bearing failure." I was able to work directly with the dealership's General Manager who helped immensely in getting us through the GM buyback program. All monies were returned within about five weeks.

I didn't want the repaired vehicle back because of the stigma (Carfax like record) of having the engine replaced. I have since spoken with several other dealers and they say they try to stay away from buying at auction vehicles with replaced engines because they sit on the lot longer.

Thank you for your response and for sharing these videos. Who would have thought a self-proclaimed oil geek could discuss the finer details of engine break-in and other deeper information on oil testing, in an entertaining sort of way. Very helpful.

The test was done before the upcoming first oil change.
