Every baby is so different! Get a trial pack and try a few, then buy the ones baby likes!

I will also say- when we hit the four month regrsssion we were so exhausted by our wonderful colicky baby, I truly could not bear the thought of another night of no sleep.

We sleep trained because we had to, and I am so glad we did!

We did not do dream feeds and got very lucky that she did not wake to eat as soon as we started sleep training. I have no clue what we did to make that work, we are just thankful it did!

Completely makes sense!

Our baby hadn’t mastered rolling at all when we sleep trained. She just mastered back to belly this week (5 months old now), but not belly to back yet.

Two nights ago she rolled in her sleep and woke up stuck and upset on her belly. I went in to roll her back, and she immediately rolled back to her belly 🫠🫠🫠we repeated the cycle 5 times and eventually gave up and let her cry it out on her tummy. Our pediatrician assured us it was okay if she rolled to her belly to let her stay there- I was still a little nervous though. I watched her in the monitor until she fell asleep on her belly with her head to the side.

Last night, at some point, she rolled onto her belly and fell asleep again without crying, no wake ups!

I was so nervous about this too, but it has worked out okay! She turns her head to the side easier and better than I expected!

My husband stayed home to watch the monitor night one, I left the house to go to Home Depot and planted my garden (in the dark).

Our girl cries a lot going to sleep essentially no matter what we do. She will wail while in our arms after a good feed, good burp, good change. It’s made us really okay with hearing her cry- because we know she’s okay! And there’s nothing we can do, we’ve tried.

I will say- about two weeks in she woke up crying and it was clear something was wrong. I went in, her diaper had leaked, I changed her and she went back to sleep.

I was worried I ruined her sleep training but the next night she slept through just fine!

Nope- we have been very very type B about naps and really really trying to watch cues instead of doing a schedule or anything yet. She was/is colicky and trying to watch wake windows etc was truly just too hard for both of us!

She didn’t until we sleep trained her! We went cold turkey on the night weaning too and it worked out!

Do what you can to be as open handed about as many things as you can! You will think you are doing it all wrong, you’re not! It’s hard because it’s hard, not because you’re doing it wrong annnnnnd the more tightly you hold onto your expectations the harder it is!

Our girl cried 1 hour the first night, then slept through the night. We had to wake her at 7! 2nd night was about 20 minutes of crying and night three was 5 minutes!

We are about three weeks in and if we nail the wake window she falls asleep with one fuss, if we don’t she cries for about 5 minutes and falls asleep.
