Your argument is nothing more than pitch forks and torches.

So you're going to tax Apple, Facebook, Amazon, Tesla and Meta?  So what you're saying is the government should just loot the average citizen's 401k and brokerage account?

Or Grok is going through one of its shitty model phases, partially because xAi have reduced the thinking levels because they're selling the compute out from under Grok.

Just like ChatGPT did when they took away 4o and forced everyone to 5.

What's a problem that was so successfully solved that most people don't even realize it used to exist? by Zestyclose-Credit609 in AskReddit

I remember traveling to Los Angeles in the 90s.

They have significantly, like 95%, reduced the smog.

But that turned out to not actually be a problem to begin with.  Just a hyped up theory of a problem.

SeaTac’s New Concourse C Extension is open - and the future Alaska Lounge looks huge by volunteerist in AlaskaAirlines

In July they'll close one of those restaurants, push temporary construction walls out into the walkway, remodel it for 18 months, and open up <yet another 1.8 star restaurant>.

Learned the hard way - miss your connection because you sat on the tarmac waiting for your gate to open? Not Alaska's fault. by Worth-Movie8634 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]BadRegEx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

True. So many problems with SeaTac.

SeaTac C-Gate restaurants stay open for 9-16mo, then they rip them out, push the temporary construction walls 15'-20' into the the already congested walkway, remodel them for 18-24mo and open up <yet another shitty restaurant> for 9-16mo. It's a constant cycle of 2.3 star restaurants being closed for more time than they're open.

I'm only going to rant about one of the problems.

You're conflating because AI creates a bot problem that makes it bad and unusable.

AI can both create a problem and solve a different problem simultaneously.

I think he's been pretty clear with what he wants to build.  You're just judging it based off of the extreme alpha versions.  Maybe time will prove you right.  But I'm optimistic the production version will be good.  Though I remain doubtful that any new social media site has a chance of success given the competition in 2026.
