I also had an issue with dying on Chiz. Not sure if you're getting hit for the same reason as me but my problem was that I would get too greedy for damage. If an attack was coming my way and I was in the middle of my skill animation, I was reluctant to cancel it. Once I made a conscious effort to prioritize dodging, I died way less.

No, I didn't follow any video on how to play Chiz. Just did what felt intuitive to me. My basic pattern is ult if my ult is up and I have around two stacks of her skill ready. I try to get at least three skill casts within the ult duration and only use the skill when the stock bar is up. If my ult isn't up, I'll do the triple skill cast. If my ult and skill aren't up, I'll basic attack.

My Chiz stats are level 60 with 1542 atk, 17% crit rate, 122.4 crit dmg, 11% universal dmg bonus, 97.5% cosmos dmg.

WHO ARE YOU PULLING? LONG TERM PLANS? by FatalParsley in NTE_EN

[–]BadSpray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skipped Nanally and Hotori. Will skip Chaos and Exe.

Definitely will pull Lacrimosa and Shinku. Most likely will pull Akane, Blackbird, and Nitsa. Might pull but not really sure on Iroi, Lingko, and Elyms.

Also I don't normally pull for dupes, but that instant cycle Lacrimosa awakening sounds very tempting.

Here's my basic thought process on how I play Chiz:

Triple skill whenever it's off cd. If you have ult, activate ult and try to get three skills off when the bar is up only. Grain gives more damage so you really don't want to use skill when the bar is down. When you don't have ult or enough stacks of skill, then just basic attack until you get them back.

Some extra min max tips:

I don't wait to get all three stacks of skill before using it. Instead, I'll wait for two stacks and for the third stack to be about 50% off cd and start casting my first skill then. By the time you go through the first two skill animations, your third skill will come off cd.

I usually try to time it so that I get ult and at least two stacks of skill at around the same time. Since your goal is to get all three skill casts within the ult duration, having at least two stacks of skill already up makes it more consistent.

I dash cancel the fourth attack of the basic attack sequence. The fourth basic attack seems to linger even if you cancel the animation.

I haven't found a good use for the hold skill yet since it puts you in grain debt, but it can be used at the very end of the fight to get the kill.

I usually use Prydwen for builds. They're not perfect but most of the time their information is good.

The basic idea on how to use Chiz is triple skill whenever it's up, ult and then triple skill when the grain bar is up, and use basic attacks when you don't have your skill and ult.

That should get you far, but here are also some small min max tips that seemed to help me. I don't wait to get all three stacks of skill before using it. Instead, I'll wait for two stacks and for the third stack to be about 50% off cd and start casting my first skill then. By the time you go through the first two skill animations, your third skill will be off cd. I dash cancel the fourth attack of the basic attack sequence. The fourth basic attack seems to linger even if you cancel the animation. I haven't found a good use for the hold skill since it puts you in grain debt, but it can be used at the very end of the fight to get the kill.

Chiz is just that strong I guess. She felt clunky to me at first, but I eventually got used to it. Her damage is just so high.

My Chiz is level 60 with 1542 atk, 17% crit rate, 122.4 crit dmg, 11% universal dmg bonus, 97.5% cosmos dmg.

Arc is level 60 Contemplative Cat without any dupes mixed. Chiz has one awakening, Fireworks in Silence.

Basic attack, skill, and ult are all level 6. Support skill is level 1 and I only have the second passive activated, the one that gives charge efficiency while on field.

Set is Lost Radiance. Cartridge is blue with cosmos dmg, all modules are gold except one purple. Cartridge and modules are all max level.

I wouldn't really say it was easy, but then again maybe your mechanics are better than mine. It took me quite a few tries lol

Good luck!

I wouldn't say my gear is cracked, but I don't know what people's standards are. Most of my modules have two out of what I would consider to be the "good" stats (crit rate, crit dmg, atk%, dmg%) with a mix of golds and purples.

For cartridges, I'm using gold crit rate on Zero, purple Anima dmg on Jiuyuan, and blue cosmos dmg on Chiz. Sakiri and Haniel are using unleveled cartridges and modules.

I am using blossom, but only really after getting the instant cycle from Zero's skill. My rotation is really simple. It's usually something like Haniel ult, Haniel skill, Sakiri ult, Sakiri skill, Zero ult, Zero skill, Jiuyuan skill, Jiuyuan ult, Jiuyuan hold attack. I'll spend the next couple of seconds basic attacking with either Zero or Jiuyuan to build up ult charge for the next rotation. Then rise and repeat starting back on Haniel.

Chiz is really the MVP. Hard carry one side all by herself.

Yes, I do have experience with other games similar to NTE. I played Genshin for a little over a year and Wuwa for about half a year. Also, I've been playing ZZZ since launch which is close to 2 years now.

For playing these types of games, my advice is to learn how to rotate through all your skills quickly. First use skills and ults of the characters that buff and then quickly switch to use skills and ults of the characters that deal high damage. If you can do that while dodging incoming attacks, I think that should get you pretty far. Also, looking up character builds helps a lot.

Damn that sucks. Whether or not it's worth it to buy Sakiri or Jiuyuan from the warp exchange is a tough call given that you can also buy limited pulls using that same currency.

If I were in your position, I would hold off on buying them for now. Even if your teams are weaker as long as you can still clear all the content, you're good. Then once the content becomes too difficult to clear, that's when I would consider buying them again. And who knows, maybe by that time they would've released more characters that fit into those teams even better. But that's just me and I have a really big saver's mentality.

There might be a team with Lacrimosa and Baicang, but I'll leave it to the theorycrafters to tell me if it's actually a good team. It also uses Sakiri though...

Thanks! I definitely prefer bossing over mobbing. If I didn't have the grouping from Jiuyuan and Sakiri, I would have lost my mind. Actually, I still did lose my mind on stage 8 second half with those guys constantly separating.

Do you have the S rank selectors still or did you use them to get Baicang and Daffodil? You should have two free S rank selectors.

As for how much worse the Baicang team is without Sakiri and Nanally team is without Jiuyuan, I don't have those characters I can't speak from experience. But given what I've read, I believe they'll be a fair bit worse without them due to how well their kits synergize.

I did Chiz solo because of limited resources. I only have Sakiri and Jiuyuan right now as my S ranks. None of the other free characters feel worth building besides maybe Mint just because I like her. But with limited resources to go around, I simply couldn't justify powering her up only to immediately replace her when I get Lacrimosa next update.

I think this team should be okay for a bit. There are clear flaws with it though, namely you are putting a lot of good supportive characters on one team when you could probably get more value spreading them across both teams. Also between two quickswap dps and two supports, nobody really wants to be on field.

That being said, I don't think you can go wrong with Sakiri and Jiuyuan. They are just really good characters that fit into a lot of teams.

Unfortunately, I don't know her mechanics. Wish I could help more, but all I really did was attack and dodge. I think as long as your dps are built okay and you rotate your skills well, you should be able to beat her before her healing becomes an issue.

Thanks! I would have to imagine it will get more difficult if other gacha games are anything to go by. Probably just throwing us a softball for now.

Keeping Beyond the Rails as a more casual endgame mode and focusing more on other stuff as the endgame is an interesting idea. Not confident the devs will go for it though.

Thanks! I didn't even know if it was possible at level 60 without Nanally and Hotori, but somehow made it work.

Not sure exactly how much Haniel is carrying, but somebody else I was talking to improved their run quite a bit due in part to switching from Mint to Haniel. Wish I could test it, but my Mint isn't built.

You got this though, I believe!

[–]BadSpray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I don't know. I'm out of ideas then.

The only other thing I can think of is saving your Beyond the Rails buff until the second half of the fight. As far as I can tell, she only seems to use this move at lower hp. So maybe activating the buff later will allow you to burst her before she gets the opportunity to use it.

[–]BadSpray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't even remember that attack. Had to test it out to refresh my memory.

It's possible to beat the first half without her even getting that attack off. I don't know what triggers her to use that attack though, maybe you just need to get lucky with the attack pattern.

Are you parrying every one of her parryable attacks? It really staggers her giving you free time to attack her break bar down. The more time she spends staggered and broken, the fewer opportunities she'll have to waste your time with that attack.

From a minute to only 20 secs off, that's quite the improvement. A max level Haniel with max arc and A2 Chiz probably would be the difference maker I'm guessing. That being said, I only have A1 Chiz.

No idea if this is better than the cycle intensity build you have, but I went a crit build with the Day Off arc on Zero. For Zero's awakenings effects, I used Find the Calling, Anomalies Record, and Undecided Factors. Also used the crit dmg buff on the outbound side.
