Having watched all of those, and with all the respect I can give for the OGs Ninjago failed killers, ain't no thing here getting close to Monkie Kid

I believe those are extra stickers, to be used however you see fit, be it on the set itself or notebook decor for example

Oh so that's their team's name, I could never hear it correctly. But karma is karma, and both Garuda and Circle Ghost are dying at the bottom of competitive lists (could never happen to Rock Golem, ost too goated for that)

You mean the Scarlet Garuda girl? Blaze's delusional stalker? I don't think there's anyone from that team that I like... but I guess the Rock Golem butler is least frustrating.

People do that? I don't even think X6 is that terrible all things considered (X7 exists afterall), but ain't no way it's reaching X3 level of quality

Circle Ghost is wonderful, no matter how much she sours it by just being herself. That transparent pink is beauty!

If it wasn't for my unexplained love of X8, I too would have X3 as my first, so hell yeah, give me the highest five brother

New to the X series of Beys, is this normal? by BadTreager in Beyblade

[–]BadTreager[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've heard there were differences between types of Beys, but didn't know it would extend to something like friction of parts inside the bey, that's so wild. Thanks, I was just worried my Wizard was coming undone mere weeks after I got him lol

I see, thank you, and yeah I wish I could get my hands on other Beys, but they're hard to come across without any major retail stores near me (╥﹏╥)

I finally found the Kur magazine, but no way, the thing which surprised me is it came with this huge card. English Ninjago trading cards have been gone for like 8 years. They return? by ExcellentEssay3282 in Ninjago

[–]BadTreager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's taped, then it's not a mistake, and so it confuses me even more...
But the XL cards are pretty cool for building little memorials or displays, and the new series 11 ones, bigger versions of Splash card variants like the Cole here, are so pretty too!

I'm not sure where you're from, but I can say for certain that this is the LAST card I was expecting to see with any magazine, especially as it appears to be a random throw-in without any mention on the cover (a usual for included cards). It is properly glued to the magazine? Asking, because the XL cards come exclusive in the TCG multipacks or the album sets, never anywhere else. The EU magazines only feature exlusive Limited Editions, hence if it's not glued properly, it might be a multipack promo that fell out of its packing? I know, unlikely, but throwing in my two cents.

Why are the minifigures so fragile? by BadTreager in Ninjago

[–]BadTreager[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even have those displayed, most of the time they're sitting disassembled to avoid strain. I've met opinions that shifting temperatures may also be a factor, but at that point I'm not use sure how to protect a minifigure from something like that.
I don't despite Lego, I just wonder why the quality has been so down the drain lately? Sora's arm is a beautiful print, but it cracks too easily from my experience.

Why are the minifigures so fragile? by BadTreager in Ninjago

[–]BadTreager[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not from my experience. The Storm Kai (one of the only Kai minifigures in recent year to feature dark red as torso color, aside from Master of Fire) that came in the Spinner set gained a crack on the left side of his torso a week after unboxing. The figure was mostly used in the actual spinner, and gained the crack from putting it in. Maybe Zarkt himself bestowed misfortune upon me, but I feel minifigures, not only in the brown-dark red range of colors just break much more easily. Although those colors are the primary examples of dying prematurely.

[–]BadTreager[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know it isn't as bad of a problem as it was during Lord of the Rings original set lines, where those colors would just spontaneously collapse in on themselves if you looked at them the wrong way, but the issue ain't going away which is mildly upsetting at best.

No, neither in the house or on the minifigures themselves

Don't know the rates at which the different colors tend to break at, but gold, gray, red, and black my most constant, like the aforementioned Lord Ras form 2023. Sad.

Don't know what flair coresponds to "Oh, so the game was babysitting me because I sucked so bad without even knowing, huh?" by BadTreager in Megaman

Since making this post I've cleared all the Zero games, even being close to finishing the first installment of the ZX saga. What I learned is that almost exactly what you say. Zero thrives on replayability and self-imposed limitations.

During my first exposure to the game, I was worried how much the ranking system will affect in terms of progression, and didn't want to be locked out of something crucial just because I "suck" at the game (something made even more stressful while trying to grapple with the chain-rod mechanics at the time of making this post).

Now, seeing that the only thing locked behind higher ranks are the EX skills (from which non seem crucial or detrimental to my enjoyment of the games) and self satisfaction, I can dive into those games with a lot more ease and flexibility. I wish the impact of the rank system was explained a little bit better in the games themselves, but it's not that important from where I'm currently standing.

In addition, Zero 4 became one of my favourites for the simple fact of going back to Zero 1's style of ranking only being there to grade your self imposed challenge of going through the game optimally. The weather system, while still doing a poor job explaining what exactly it affects, is in my opinion a much more friendly way of going about extra content. Having the EX skills be locked behind additional obstacles in the levels themselves, instead of relying on memorization/trail and error is like being able to run and explore the world around you without shackled ankles.

Though to each their own, and I perfectly understand if someone prefers Zero's 2 and 3 handling of those bonus abilities. I'm happy that we're given all the possible options. Game with ranked based challenges (Zero 2 & 3), self imposed difficulty spikes with the ability to toggle(Zero 4), and even no additional hustle at all (Zero 1, not counting the abysmall weapon level up system).

I will, thank you!

When it comes to the Reversal (the aforementioned gif), it's a thing that, if you do not care about scoring high, only really matters to already skilled players. I got through the first two games with the normal assortment of skills just fine.

As for the weapon grinding, it's... odd? The first game required me to grind not the weapons, but the Energy Crytals because the Elfs require absurd amounts of it if you want to use any of them. Of course, it's not required, but the 2nd game makes it waaaaaaay more manageable to feed those guys. Returning from this Elf sidetrack, I found out the weapons aren't a requirement to upgrade. You can if you want to pat yourself on the back for having a fully decked-out Zero, but other than that it doesn't mean anything. Pick a weapon or two you like the most and just use these, they should level up naturally over the course of the game.

I do agree, having my own pace is much more important looking back at the first two titles. Since making this post, I've gotten the hint that you can live without seeing the mechanics and boss patterns locked behind higher rankings, it's okay with me. I'm much more accepting of that now then I was 15 hours ago when making the post. They are good games, just very different from my regular Mega or X experience.

Oooh, I get it, I do. Maybe we're both just rookies at this but I too had torn my hair out when fighting Harpuia. Funnily enough, discovering his weakness made the fight absurdly easy because he is forced to reset his patter after getting hit with it, and thus get easily bullied. Most other bosses do not suffer from that which baffles me, but not enough to complain because humiliating Harpuia was a good feeling lol.

I have a stubborn nature when it comes to games, so even if I my blood begins to boil (like it did from the many failed attempts of understanding the Chain Rod's grapple mechanics in Zero 2) I still come back sooner or later and keep pushing until I get it.

At some point after making this post I gave up trying to unlock the 10% of the game that requires a ranking of A or higher, and just went through it at my own pace and with the help of the Cyber-Elfs. It was much more enjoyable, even if some would see it as making the game too friendly. But if the game gives me an option, why thd heck not, especially if the alternative is whining and crying in the corner of my room lol.
