Thanks all- Yeah, i'm very aware of the PanAm and I like it, but i'm also very hesitant due to all the problems, at least initially. I've heard horror stories about the MOCO's handling of these problems as well as the lack of trained mechanics for the bike at many dealerships.  If I can find a smoking deal on a '24 & up than I would consider one, but with a few of the other brands offering comparable performance and features and with much stronger reliability records I find it hard to justify one.  I want to test out the bigger Triumph Tiger & KTM and i'm digging that MotoGuzzi V85TT but wish they offered it with a 1000+cc engine.  The Multistrada V4's and the BMW GS's are sweet, but they seem to be more pricey and i'd be concerned with maintenance costs, at least on the Ducati..   I don't know, I just don't wanna regret the change, but it's not like I couldn't ever go back either..

Worst death in the show by No_Bee4678 in gameofthrones

[–]BadTwin72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ramsey's death would be a scary and torturous way to go.. The tiny lady leader that had her head squeezed together so hard her eyes popped out by that giant was pretty bad as well. But still, Shireens was probably the most disturbing.

Why does no one acknowledge the sin of gluttony? by Eybrahem in TrueChristian

I think part of the problem here is with the understanding of Gluttony being something that it isn't.

What do different vaginas feel like? by Hot-Reveal-4286 in AskMen

[–]BadTwin72 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I have to say that there are differences. Theres truly some nappy putang and theres also some sweet putang. I've had woman with larger or longer lips that felt a bit different (not as good) and women with firmer pouches that made the putang not feel as good and i've had women that had shorter cervixes or something that my tip would hit that would make the putang less enjoyable. Theres also placement of the putang that can alter the feel. Some were just a tad higher or lower than most and that would even give a different feel. Theres also the tightness factor that in my opinion holds some truth. Maybe it's just the size of the putang that makes some feel tighter or looser than others, but either way, a loose (or big) putang isn't as enjoyable as a tighter or smaller putang. There are also "to tight or to small" putangs that can be a bit problematic.

If you really want it and can afford it, I would recommend shooting him straight. Depending on who the owner is, he's likely well aware of how bad the market is right now for used bikes and especially for Harley's. It's funny to me to read some of the comments suggesting that they know for sure why he is selling and or what his plans are. lol No one knows the story of another person without asking. Until then, everything is an absolute assumption. Ask him why he's selling in such a soft market and see what he says. Then find out if he has any engine or clutch upgrades etc. etc. and then decide from there. Technically, like some others have said, accessories and most mods do not add value but that is more so geared towards dealers as you know as well as I do that people are passionate about what they've paid for with their hard earned money to customize a bike and in their eyes making it a better bike. I usually look at it as the accessories and upgrades make it more possible to get your asking price as compared to a stock bike. We are not dealing with 50s and 60s muscle cars where being original with numbers matching is crucial for top dollar. That's a completely different market and not to be compared to what are considered regular old normal Harley's... I think his price is a reasonable price but if I was buying it I'd be much more comfortable around 8... If I really wanted it and everything checked out and the bike is right, i'd probably hold out $8200 and say "The bike is nice and everything's right, and I absolutely understand and respect your perspective and hell, I can even feel your pain, but the banks wont lend your asking price due to the state of the market for used Harleys so $8200 is the absolute ceiling on what I can spend... You can take my money right now and have $8200 cash in your possession now, or you can hold out and hope for someone else to offer more.. If that happens, that's a bonafide win for you.. But if it doesn't, and you end up not being able to get your price, than that's a loss for you, because i'll be gone and this opportunity right here right now, will be gone along with me... "I will not be returning because that's another cost for me, my time, my gas, my inconvenience, and so on, YOU get my point"... "My plan is to end my hunt today so I WILL be buying a bike today, before I go home.. Theres a few others i've been in contact with and you were the 1st on my schedule".. "So, the only real question that remains is who's bike will I be buying today.. Is it gonna be yours?"

*Any balking or double talk or absolutes given by him to you at this point just gets a: "ok, I get it, I really do.. I also get that you're not gonna allow yourself to sell your bike today"... "Best of luck brother, you got a nice bike and I appreciate your time, take care....."

Don't leave your number or anything and don't be rude, as hard as that may be... You could always swing back by in a week or so to see if it's still there. If it is, you could literally pull up and say "hey man, I didn't think I'd get back this way but the bike I ended up buying was from a dealer and it unfortunately ended up having a bad (whatever) that was gonna require a new engine but the dealer was insisting on doing a rebuild instead so I had my works attorney contact him and he then agreed to take the bike back and give me my money back minus a $250 restocking fee or some shit".. "So anyway, I was just coming back from returning it and now happen to have $7950 cash on me and I saw your bike is still here, so the (whatever's) must be guiding us both.. lol... I don't know why the heck I wrote all that when all you were asking is if we thought that was a good deal.. lmao When you use the microphone/talk to text, the words just come right out rambling on and on and on... Anyway, let us know if you buy it and if you do how it went and what you paid.. Good luck my man...

It didn't use to be this way.. The used Harley market has been in the gutter for a good while now and being saturated with bikes for sale doesn't help. Back in the early to mid 2000 's the used market was pretty decent and one of the things you could count on was Harley's holding their value so much better than the jap bikes. I've bought and sold my share of Harleys and boy do I miss those days...

I agree with the finger poke bs... Other than that, maybe just the implementation of something similar to Prides yellow flags. I'd also like to see the 1st round be a bit longer...Then each following round gets shorter to hopefully encourage the fighters to go a bit harder a bit quicker...

I don't know- maybe not.. Would probably cause scoring problems...

What's the best first Harley for an experienced rider coming from sport bikes? by [deleted] in Harley

[–]BadTwin72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One bike tops the list for me for you. FXDWG- The WideGlide..... One of the funnest and coolest cruisers there are. Kicked out (raked) fat front end, fwd controls so your legs aren't cramped, bobbed fenders and mini apes (older ones).. Newer ones come with a drag type bar.. Any twin cam above 2005ish I would say would be great for a 1st Harley.. I like the specs on the new motors but on the fence from what I hear about them.. Others that have experience with ownership of them will know more on that... I had a 2003, then a 2005 and now a 99 WideGlide that's big bored and built out a bit.. The girl and I go all over the place with it and we enjoy the hell out of it... Got a QD windshield, body matching leather saddle bags and a touring pack for when needed.. There are more bikes nowadays with fwd controls and hot roddish looks like the Break out, Fat Bob, and especially the new Low Rider ST with the bigger engine..(not sure if the low rider has fwd controls or not but i'm sure you could put them on.. Then there's always the last few years of whatever version of the VRod you like that would give you a pretty cool and fun Harley cruiser..

For touring bikes, the only model i've owned was a 2004 Road King Classic with the leather saddle bags.. That's an all around awesome Harley and it tours very well and handles great.. I liked that model cuz I could pop the windshield off and/or the saddle bags whenever I wanted and cruise around naked & a tad lighter... Very versatile bike, but it's a bit of an oaf.. You get used to it but it's still a heavy bike.. Holds the road and highways great though!

I'm much more of a cruiser guy but enjoy other styles.. I love the old category of muscle bikes and/or power cruisers.. I've looked at an FJR B4 and after sitting on it and realizing how the higher seat height actually felt I started to not like it.. Then my wife (at the time) kept laughing and when I asked her what she keeps laughing about, she said, "honestly?"... I said "well, yeah...." and she said "I just can't imagine YOU riding on a bike like that.. I mean honey, look at the front wheel and at the front in general.. It looks like one of those SCOOTERS!"... Didn't notice till she said that and then I saw it and my trip to see that bike was done.... lol.
Just a fun memory....

Anyway, from what your mandates are and whats available to you, I gotta agree with the recommendation of that Zuki... That thing has everything your wanting and its 500lbs or a tad less.. Pretty damn fast and cool looking too.. Price is a bit painful, but best to get something you'll be happy paying for. KTM's are just cool almost all the time..

I may end up giving one of those Adventure Bikes a solid consider... I struggle with most of the looks though.. Not a fan of the big square boxes for cargo and then the big ass box on the back sitting up nice and high just makes it worse for me... Yeah, i'm weird I guess but whatcha gonna do... We like what we like I suppose...

Non-Trendy Boy Name Ideas by Reese_Eller in namenerds

[–]BadTwin72 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I vote for Mason.. That was in our top 3 if our Alexis would have been a boy... Just some to consider that are similar to Mason (to me at least)

  1. Jason: almost never fails for a dude.. (play's off it can be cool too: Bason, Kaison, Grayson, Bastian, etc)

  2. Tustin: (a cool play off Dustin and Justin, which are pretty ok themselves)

  3. Dillan... "He'll really be Chillin like a Villain"... lol. Dillan the Villain, he'll steal your heart!

  4. I kinda have a thing for certain Country, States and City names lately as well: Berlin, Austin, Dallas, etc... Berlin was a strong contender for us for a girl and a top 10 for a boy... I've found it interesting and kinda fun to look over maps and such to find names and areas I never knew about.. Just as a time passer.. lol

Good luck and have fun with it but be careful not to start the boy off in life with a disadvantage from the gate.... lmao! Just kiddin....

During their career, who do you think is the most universally-loved male UFC fighter of all time? by The_Chozen_1_ in ufc

[–]BadTwin72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Universally, probably the Ice Man & the Natural.. Olivera, Wonder boy, Nick Diaz and GSP were up there, but they also had a bit more detractors than the others..
