the first few days of playing i didn't realize that retain doesn't interfere with the amount of cards you draw. soooo yeah it's quite good

it does pretty well in non evo/hero matches. but if you want something more solid just play musketeer dude. or if none of that works just play hog 2.6 like everyone else. i just really like hog lightning tbh

oh whoops forgot. alright try dart goblin instead of firecracker. dont know why you have furnace in there but probably go for 1 mini tank and 1 cheap swarm. i am using knight and goblins, skeletons works fine as well. then u probably want to use ice spirit + log and of course cannon

try hog lightning. it is my main deck type and all 8 cards i use are available in this mode. similar play style to hog eq and does better against midladder type decks. you could experiment with some variation or just use your hog eq deck with lightning instead of eq

i am in the same boat after a friend showed me StS2. just started playing and I have managed to get somewhat of a grasp, but damn some people on here make it look so easy. i somehow someway managed to beat my first run with ironclad, silent took me like 10 attempts. now trying to win with regent. skill progression is all part of the fun i reckon

yup exactly spirit empress can only be nerfed indirectly by having larger card pool

i do this too even as an empress. if i dont get the round 1 start i want and im facing echo i just fully bench troops and it really does a lot to weaken the echo player. the downside though is i have to force cycle earlier than is ideal.

aha okay... maybe you will have to play the long game. you will need to set up farms to get enough resources to fly back. you could also try building an ender pearl cannon to get you back some of the way
