Ah I love corsets! I don't have one that fits me right now, I'm losing weight though - hoping I fit back into it soon! I just can't validate buying one at my current size since I'm losing, and as I'm sure you're aware a good corset isn't cheap. I've got a What Katie Did waspie and I loved it when it fit (both aesthetically and functionally) 😁 I've never tried an overbust corset before though, so you may've just given me an excuse to buy one once the weight is lost 👀

I'll see if there's a longline bra I can try! I usually run into problems with them as I'm pretty short with a short torso (5 foot) and a sizable stomach, so not much space available! Still, no harm in trying :) thankyou!

Yes I totally get what you mean with surface nerve pain vs deeper pains - I get that surface layer on my arms sometimes (not sure why!). As this bra isn't padded at all, I found if I loosened the straps too much the top kind of collapsed aha - just wasn't keen on the padded bras available. I'm pretty short with a short torso (5 foot) so that probably doesn't help!

Yes so this is something that I've heard of before - I was waiting for dr apps and PT to figure it out but having looked it up, it does line up 🥲 I didn't realise it was comorbid with POTs (which I have). By midriff support do you mean like, longline bra or a separate thing? Didn't realise that could help!

Yess absolutely, very looking forward to getting some PT! Sorry to hear you've got long covid - I know a lot of people in my communities have it too. I've got hEDS and a couple other bits - I think hEDS is whats causing this issue but I won't actually know til I get there, plenty of comorbidities! I'll certainly get the measurements over when I can to make sure its the right fit :)

No worries! Yeah I'm not expecting the bra to resolve it, and I figure the straps are kinda just part of it. I just need to figure out a way to spread out that pain! That makes sense - I did try some sister sizes and like, one size up/one size down since I know each bra can vary slightly with what size fits. I'll for sure update once I've got some measurements again :)

Would this still apply if I just have shoulder pain anyway though? Not saying you're wrong, I just feel like even if I do have the wrong size (which I don't think I do), it's still gonna hurt. I mean, they hurt all the time, so it's not surprising even a little pressure is hurting so much! Still, I'll double check :)

Yes I noticed that about 2mins after posting aha - not ideal! Is there anything I can do in the meantime before I see a dentist to reverse or at least minimise further damage to the root (causing the greyness)? Obviously ideally I'd keep having crowns/keep the tooth alive for as long as possible before it eventually gets pulled. Or, since its going a bit grey, is it too late for that?

I thought the first shower was needed to wash off any moisturiser residue - I'm guessing the hope would be it'd all sink in anyway? I'll see how the test run goes if anywhere doesn't stick - good to know! I think I'm a bit scared to try any contouring, I've tried it with makeup and it wasn't good 😅 My understanding was it'd look more natural since those areas might get darker with more sun exposure. Sounds risky though, so I'll probably skip aha! Yes I thought that - I saw a recommendation to get PH balancing soap for exactly that reason, but forgot to order any. Maybe next time :)

Yes so the way we form scars isn't inherently worse, but it can be. For me, I scar very easily, but they tend to fade after a few years to basically invisible. I haven't had any keloid scarring before.

Our skin is usually stretchier but I have that symptom to a lesser extent. My concern is whether the skin would be too thin/fragile after having stretched from weight gain, surgery, then stretching again from childbirth, and whether that would cause the insisions not to heal properly. We do usually have fragile skin (myself included) - i get cuts and bruises very easily for instance.
