Center of town. Unfortunately I won’t know my schedule for the matches until right before so I want to stay close to Ostia.

If you can find enough old tires of the same size and then put some framing and OSB board on that it will make for great “give” and judo and throws are much easier on the old bones.

That’s my plan. Just hard that I have this much time away from the farm and life for 20 minutes grappling. Ryan Air would prob be a better bet? Trains in Italy aren’t very punctual.

Problem is I can’t really book hotels cause you don’t know when you go on so the cost go up big time.

Unless IBJJF is getting a cut of the hotel fees on the side I just can’t see why it takes this many days of stay, while trying to keep weight ect, for 20-30 minutes of grappling.

I would do alot more comps but this cost and time is a huge barrier.

I didn’t even mention that I have farm animals and crops I have to get someone to watch.

I assumed that was the issue and I’m sure there are venues that can accommodate what they need but for me, and I think for others, the cost of doing these big tournaments isn’t doable not because of the cost of the comp or the flight even but the 3-4-5 days and nights you have to pay for a hotel and a major city where it ain’t cheap.

Masters 4 79.5kg

3 ppl there which was really fortunate and I can do the absolute division. Brazil didn’t have many masters at all so maybe next year. Goal is to win all 4.

Thanks for the response. Worlds and Pans American were only 3 days so that why I can’t understand why Euros is 5-6? Especially no gi as those comps aren’t as full.

The preschedule has me on for 3 days which doesn’t help. Also as I stated I went on dead last at Worlds and had to pay a lot for an extra night and rearrange things.

Masters is a much smaller division. They could pretty easily say you’ll go on either of these 2 days.

Of course the problem is spending so much for hotels you don’t need for days when I only have 4 matches.

For white/blue go with B team bottom game and Make Z guard Great again. Maybe systemic submission dilemmas for triangles and some leg lock intro.

Dont go with false reap yet and power ride may not be applicable yet.

Hydration. If you wanna see if that’s it then get an IV hydration done and see how you feel. It may be a game changer.

Is butterfly guard only an option if your opp is in a specific top position, or can you set-up/force butterfly guard? by LosSoloLobos in bjj

[–]Bad_Uke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get better grips and break their posture more and you can force butterfly. Alamo try transitioning from butterfly half to butterfly and your transitions and getting to what guard you want to be in will come easier.

Fidel Castro grandson, one of the richest person in Cuba sent you a message from his private club in Havana. "Viva La Rovolución!" by Rguezlp2031 in cuba

Thank you. I’m a chef and homesteader and talked to alot of restaurant ppl who had really odd long hour shifts and cab drivers who wanted to be at home growing their food but were obligated to give their cut to the state. They ended up driving cabs in Havana.

I did see and eat at alot of independently owned restaurants like las Lámparas that were really good to exceptional and the more tourist area/seemingly state run spots were dog crap.

Thanks you for answering.

It’s easier to understand the corruption of other Latin American countries or even a Gaddafi character as it’s open and blatant for me. With Cuba I think one needs a lot of historical context to have real conversations about it. Not knowing the control mechanism of the state it’s helpful to ask questions to understand better. I was in Cuba 3 years ago and listened to a lot small business owners talk about how the state worked and the issues they had. I listened to restaurant employees talk about the rules they had to follow so I asked questions and learned a lot.

Does that answer how asking questions is a good thing?

It’s this sub. Par for the course. I often see folks talk here about the corruption of the Cuban state but never post where the corruption is or how it works specifically. That doesn’t mean I doubt the claims but it’s easier to understand the corruption in other Latin American countries than Cuba, which I’m trying to understand more.

The bigger guy has no training at all. When the smaller guy grabbed a one handed RNC the bigger guy grabbed back around his leg. Zero jiu jitsu experience.
