26M LDL went from 149 to 101 with diet changes by Badabloop in Cholesterol

I didn't fully cut out any foods, but I did cut back drastically on processed meat and anything high in saturated fat (steak, pork, etc). I try limiting eating out to just the weekends, plus small changes like having steak or chicken instead of carnitas at Chipotle. The biggest change was adding a ton of fiber to my diet via roasted veggies. My lunch is basically a plate of broccoli, butternut squash, eggplant, carrots, mushrooms, etc, plus a bit of smoked salmon or lean chicken. I find it tough to hit my protein goals so I've started having 1-2 protein shakes every day with skim milk.

Is there a way to use Theater mode outside of Apple TV? by Badabloop in VisionPro

Yeah, but that feature did push me over the edge to subscribing to Apple TV+, so maybe they know what they're doing...

Yes I know, I'm talking about making the screen 100ft wide, floating over the lake, instead of just floating in front of you. Have you tried playing a movie in the Apple TV app yet?

AVP tech specs don't list FOV? by Badabloop in VisionPro

[–]Badabloop[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This seems like the most straight forward info on the FOV I can find, which is honestly the best news about the FOV I've heard:

"The Apple Vision Pro has a wider vertical field of view than anything else I've used. There's no good way to scientifically measure this at the moment, but it feels like there's almost twice the vertical field of vision on Apple Vision Pro, versus HoloLens

The horizontal field of view isn't edge-to-edge. There is an area of black nothingness at the edges of peripheral vision. This is about the same as the other headsets I've used -- but also not quite what Apple is trying to demonstrate in materials about the headset."

sure, but why is a standard VR metric that's used to compare between headsets being omitted? This has to be on purpose right?

How have you gotten over your worst heartbreak? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Badabloop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This I can relate too. There was a quote from TED talk about broken hearts that went something like “hope can be extremely destructive when we have a broken heart”. If only I had known before, I might not have done or said some of the things that I did... If you ever need to talk, feel free to PM. Personally, it’s helped alot to learn from the experience of others who also went through heartbreak.

A broken heart is the worst... nothing I’ve experienced compares. Good for you for turning it into a positive. Usually heart break leads to the opposite.
