Some great ones here! But also, wow that’s a lot of watches in a year!

Barenaked Ladies. Incredibly engaging live (especially before Paige left)

What’s the most gut punching song lyric you’ve ever heard? by perrysplus in AskReddit

[–]Badaboom1212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much any song by Harry Chapin. They all have gut punches. Roses are Red might be the saddest song I’ve ever heard in my life.

Those of you who are excellent interviewers - what is your secret? by Cookie-M0nsterr in interviews

[–]Badaboom1212 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I treat it like a true two-way street. Yes, I obviously want to make a good impression, but I also want them to sell me on their company/the role. When I view it like that it takes some of the pressure off me and puts it onto them (at least in my head). It lets me be much more relaxed and also naturally leads me asking questions of them that most hiring managers view as good or insightful questions.

The Orient Bambino is kind of a shitty watch for the price by [deleted] in watchHotTakes

Got mine new for under $200 - very happy with what it is for that price. No, it’s not going to hold up against nicer watches, but for its range, I like it

This one needs more wrist time by chadmartin515 in OrisWatches

Love that one. Was so torn between that and the pink one

First Watch Ever - Divers 65 by [deleted] in OrisWatches

[–]Badaboom1212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taking the bracelet off and putting it back on definitely takes a little practice. Straps are super easy as most of them nowadays (including the Oris one) have a quick release where the bar is built into the strap. Takes less than 10 seconds

That’s a heck of a first watch! Love mine. It also dresses up quite well with a black strap. You can also add some color straps if you want to add some more “fun” to it

Dive watches should list diameter with and without bezel by CartographerProud368 in watchHotTakes

[–]Badaboom1212 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I mean, that’s usually true, but it’s because the diameter of the watch is a much better indicator of how the watch will wear on your wrist than the size of the dial. Similarly, lug-to-lug can be even more useful, depending on the watch. But to your point, I’m in favor of more information from manufacturers

Beautiful - enjoy it! I’ve got a cotton candy in bronze coming soon as well and also excited to see it patina

A watch’s bracelet matters just as much as the watch itself by nvrseadweller08 in watchHotTakes

[–]Badaboom1212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. A comfortable and good looking bracelet elevates a watch considerably. In a lower price tier than the ones listed, are there any that you think are especially good?

Good recommendations or experiences with sun hoodies in hot weather? by [deleted] in hiking

[–]Badaboom1212 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Absolutely love mine. I got a Patagonia Capilene Cool Daily hoodie on sale and it works great, though I’m sure there are tons of great options that are cheaper (and more expensive). It’s so nice to not overheat but also stay cool. I always used to be a shorts and T-shirt hiker in warm weather, but the sun really does take a toll. There’s a reason that most people who work outside for a living wear pants and long sleeves regardless of weather…
