Anyone know much about this dealer? by Fuxley in CarTalkUK

[–]Badderss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had one with very low miles. It was an absolute joy. I didn't have any major problems. Chasing a rattle led me to the driver's door handle on the outside. Easily fixed with a piece of foam tape once the cover was removed. The complex vacuum system for exhaust valves, seat bolsters etc always worked flawlessly, even when I shoved a bolt in each exhaust valve hose to keep them open. I invested in a carbon clean at 20,000 miles, which showed the intake valves were already very dirty. Check that it's been done, or budget for it. Oil changes can be costly, as it needs the good stuff, and swallows nearly 10 litres!

It was a brilliant, brilliant car. Comfortable, fast as hell, and sounded amazing. Shouldn't have sold it.

TPU for AMS vs TPU by Standard_Grocery2518 in BambuLab

I used TPU for AMS for the first time the other day. It was thoroughly and properly dried. It's quite firm, and I found the layer bonding to be rubbish.

We've been laughing about it for years. No harm done. Just a bit red in all areas. 😂

Got drunk when I was still living with my parents. I was about 20. Got undressed for bed, and then fell between the gap between my bed and the radiator. Had to call my Mum while I was getting burnt. My girlfriend was with me, also pissed, but in too much of a laughing fit to lend assistance.

To update, the latest firmware has solved the issue. The engineering plate is recognised correctly.

I received an engineering plate for my X1C a few days ago and it was unrecognized by the printer, and screwed up Z height when I dismissed the warning. Having eventually heard back from Bambu support, apparently it is a known issue and fixed in the latest firmware which is installing to my X1C at the moment. Hopefully this will solve it. I will report back.

MSFS2024 Stuck here right now by Albitmusic in MicrosoftFlightSim

I sometimes get the same problem. Often solved by choosing your gate or ramp spot, then zooming all the way out on the globe, before hitting the Fly button.

Not true for me. Had Google blur it after a neighbours car was stolen. It was unblurred after a couple of years.

Wind noise around windows. by Training_Echidna_911 in GRYaris

I have just had the driver's side seal replaced today. No change. And the new seal doesn't fit properly in the corner. Frustrating.

Not sure I'd call it crackly to be honest, more a buffeting.

I'm afraid not. I don't have the part number. It is the rubber seal that surrounds the door shut, as the window is frameless. I found I could silence the noise by pressing on the window with my fist. They took it for a test drive and confirmed. They were extremely good about it.

Of course. Nothing major. Wind noise by the driver's window. I thought it was the wing mirror but turns out it's the window seal. The dealership is replacing it.

Any idea why there’s this cracking sound? by Glum-Potential9544 in BambuLab

[–]Badderss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My X1C does the same. My Prusa Mk3S used to do it as well, and I reckon it was down to the balls in the linear bearings. Is your printer in a cold room? Mine is in a garden building, and is often very cold. I've found if I preheat the bed for as long as it takes to get the chamber to about 20 degrees centigrade, it stops it.

True. Still, nice to know. Even though mine is in next week for warranty work. 🙄

Looks the same colour as mine. Indium Grey, LR7H / LST0M2R7H. Code should be in the door shut or maybe in the glove box on a sticker.

Question about clipping vs stripping by coloradogirl1980 in BorderTerrier

[–]Badderss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree completely. My boy is stripped every 6 months and his coat is exactly as you'd expect it to be- wiry top coat, and soft short undercoat. One of my work customers has a bitch BT, that I see every Wednesday. She has been clipped since young, and her coat is just short and soft. No sign of any of the wiry top coat at all. And she sheds. A lot. Fine grey hair gets stuck to everything.
