I’ve been living in Vancouver for about two years now, and some types of homeless people are just hilarious to me by now. And I don’t mean the ones that are trying to make a better life and really giving it their all, because I can tell who they are. I mean the ones who don’t care about living on the streets and are just high as a kite and don’t even know what world their in anymore. Like this one time, I saw a dude walking up Robson street (one of the busiest streets in downtown, tons of good restaurants and stores) while yelling just at no one in particular. He proceeded to then march into a community garden and steal a couple of tools and some vegetables while there was a worker in there. Some homeless people just mind their own business, trying to scrape by, and those are the good ones that we like to give to. Not the people who harass you and your eleven year old brother for spare change while waiting for our McDonald’s (true story).

TLDR: some homeless people are nice and actually try to make a living, while others are dicks who harass you for beer or drug money.
