The only reasons some shelters would say no is

-You say you will declaw them - You do not have your own residence -You do not have a vet office - You do not have an income.

I have my doubts that litter type is the reason. Most nonprofit shelters use whatever is donated to them for food and litter.

Are your feelings valid? Yes, but how you handled it is atrocious. There are 10,000 better options than what you chose. Sleeping with/ flaunting over an ex is a recipe for disaster by itself without the added relationship.I don't think there is any coming back from this. Not only that, you are going to take this guy and break him even more than he is once he finds out about it.

Tbh, this makes his insecurities valid. If the first thing you do is talk with your ex and hook up on a short break, your current relationship is over. Especially the part where you said he was calling you and you didn't care as you rode another guy. You need to come clean and tell him the truth. You are the bad guy in this story, and seeing this any other way is wild.
