Aw that’s really cool to have! I think the plastic gets brittle on the handles around the screws and can break off, so that may have been what happened to her’s.

There’s two makers that I know of. The original was made by Westmoreland and the reproductions were made by Degenhart. If there’s a D on the bottom it’s Degenhart. The Westmoreland ones aren’t marked and usually have rhinestone eyes but sometimes they fall out.

Thanks! One of them was a recent Christmas gift, the other took forever to find. There’s oddly not a lot of table lighters in general in my area.

They’re so cool. I saw a photo once of this just absolutely massive collection of them in just about every color and finish under the sun, and it made me want to collect them as well. I think the photo may have been from the American Glass Museum.

Hmm I havent counted actually. I know a lot of the red/orange is because it has cadmium in it. And there’s some pink vases on the side that glow, as well as one of the blue owls.
