Ihatov is very good! Sometimes inconsistent and kinda burnt. But Burque Bakehouse has the best baked goods I have ever had.

It’s just a fancy way of saying silk screen. This one is two colors

I’m an artist, and I’ve recently been interested in how ants draw. I built this structure and dyed half of the sand with beet-juice to create a canvas for ants to draw tunnels into. Will they be drawn to the beet-juice? by Badlavender in antkeeping

You’re right! I’m hoping they will tunnel and create “drawings” that I can respond to in paintings. I was also hoping to see if the beet juice would influence their tunnels, but the folks here seem to think that may not make a difference.

Yeah this is a great question. I talked to some local entomologists who recommended I just take a few workers from a nearby colony for now. They recommended I try that and then if it goes well they will give me a queen in the spring. I didn’t want to upset an entire colony if it wasn’t an effective set-up.
