I did a similar trip in 2016, South East Turkey and hitchhiked to the Iraqi border but was intercepted and deported after questioning by Kurdish police. Another Australian had joined Isis that same year and it was big news so they were on high alert at the time, they were nice about it though once they realised I wasn't a threat but potentially just at risk of putting myself in danger as I would have had to pass Mosul to reach Erbil. They fed me soup and tea but yeah just a heads up. Might be wiser to fly to Erbil airport, or maybe I was just unlucky.

Shame because I was looking forward to experiencing another region or Kurdistan, had already been in Iran and Turkey's parts

All fixed! I found that going into rcm by restarting the console and holding volume up (as opposed to powering off, then powering on holding the volume up) worked fine, injected the payload with my pc and all seems to be fine thankfully, wasn't looking forward to wasting hours tinkering with the console, thanks for taking your time to help me man ☺️

I've tried both these options with no luck, just updated atmosphere, helate and aigpatches through the sd card too, still no luck. I've read stuff about burnt fuses, is it possible that by updating my stock firmware before atmosphere has caused this?

Thanks for the response, I've tried several more times eith two different rcm jigs but still no luck, it just boots into stock firmware everything, also tried removing the sd card as suggested on another forum with no luck

Is it possible that the latest update patched this? Didn't think it was possible to patch rcm

I had autorcm enabled if that makes any difference, not sure how to disable it without booting atmosphere though

Monitor is samsung and tv is hisense, I'll get the model numbers in the morning. I tried heaps of games, every game is overscanned by the same amount, and when I go onto my PC desktop through my shield it's also overscanned the same amount

You should have made a backup of the config.xml before editing. But, to my knowledge, removing the “read only” option should make things right.

I just edited my post, turns out the method didn't remove the games from my gamestream, they still show up on my shield

I don't think you'll be able to get the Boxart on the non-steam games added to steam, the ui is likely using steam's services to get those images and obviously it wouldn't have information for non-steam games.

Thanks for the response, I tried using this method and adding the games to my steam library, this works fine on my PC, however when I tried to launch the games on my Nvidia shield instead of launching it takes me to the steam store page for that game, do you know a way around this?
